To be a bit stunned by Lily Allen’s new album

Oooofff. I mean it might as well be called Fuck You David Harbour, You Cheating Bastard. Safe to say she’s set a new bar for diaristic songwriting. I feel so sad for her, I know she’s not everyone’s favourite person but it’s always been clear that all she wanted was to love and be loved and she seemed so happy with him- he popped up on her podcast with Miquita Oliver a few times and seemed so genuine in the way he spoke about her… for it to all collapse in such spectacularly public and hideous fashion must have been awful to endure, so I don’t blame her for working through it by going back to what she does best but still… blimey. I feel like I’ve been spying in their bedroom or something after listening to it!

I haven’t heard it yet but im a huge fan of lily allen. I think she gets a really rough ride from the press when really she’s just very honest about her feelings. Not that you can ever tell what people are like but they seemed like a well-suited couple. I loved their AD house tour and their wedding photos.

Cara de la Hoyde has just said in an insta story “if you’re having a bad day today, just remember you’re not David Harbour” 😂 matey has one hell of an awkward press tour coming his way!! Think a lot of Stranger Things/Marvel fans won’t be looking at him the same way ever again…

I would say I actively dislike Lily. And I wanted to like her, I listended to their podcast thinking now I'm older, and a bit wiser I might see her in a different light, but I just don't. However, you can dislike someone and acknowledge that they've been treated fucking horribly by the most vile men. She seems to have more than her fair share of that. I'm going to check out her album now.

Hmmm, she’s also done her fair share of treating people horribly. It was openly known that she cheated on her former husband with sex workers. I can’t remember her ex husbands name but the one she had children with.

She has had done to her, what she did to her first husband and the father of her children… karma !

I’m definitely not a lily allen fan but yeah, this is a bit raw.
personally I think she should’ve recorded it and then put the master tapes in a locked box under her bed.

I feel exactly the same way.
I won't be listening to the album as her music isn't my taste, but she is allowed to write what she likes and if it's true and that's her inspiration, why not.
That said, I doubt David Harbour will give a shit.

In that respect, you could say the same for David Harbour who has bipolar disorder though. I'm certainly not sticking up for him, but if Lily has excuses for her terrible behaviour, so can other people. She's just lucky that nobody else has been arsed to write an album listing all the shit she has done (yet).

Not a fan of hers, but I watched a video a couple of years ago of her and David showing a camera crew around their house in New York. I thought he came across as a complete dick. I'm glad she's not with him anymore, from the sounds of it the marriage was a pretty messed up experience

Stunned at Lilly Allen going to extraordinary lengths to get attention? Not really, no.

I've not forgiven her for claiming she "didn't know how many abortions she'd had" and laughing about it; not because I'm anti-abortion, but because it shouldn't be used as contraception and she is in an influential position for young women.

If you get chance, listen to her audiobook My Thoughts Exactly. It’s quite a revelation!

I agree. I cant stand the bloke but if you are saying its ok because Lily had MH problems, then the same applies to him......... 🤷‍♀️

She used sex workers to cheat on her first husband.

Her second husband used sex workers with her consent per her album. Per her album what she was upset about is he had sex with someone who wasn't a sex worker.

So her compliant is - it is fine to use sex workers in our marriage. But have feelings for another person and I will sing all about it.
