I think he is funny and down to earth. He’s not a big old fake like lots of other celebs. He is very sympathetic to the needs of farmers but is always careful to point out that he doesn’t face the same challenges as he gets money from other places. I like his honesty. I was amazed at how much I enjoyed his gaming show. You could see that the other people involved are genuinely fond of him. I don’t think you can fake that.

However he is also a bit of a wanker. He likes the sound of his own voice and he is a bit of a buffoon. His private-educated old white guy confidence is a little too obvious.

The punch thing was terrible though. That’s hard not to forget.

He is very skilled at putting together a TV show. I know he has a whole production team that he takes from job to job but the balance of his shows is always just right in terms of interesting, funny, emotional, not boring.

He's a bit of an oaf but I think he knows that.

Land grabber no matter what the farmers think. He bought a farm so his kids didn't have to pay tax or something (I'm not up on the intricacies). Then he used it to make a show and earn even more money. And his pub isn't all that, I live just down the road, went once and would bother again, food just ok and expensive.

I’ve never seen the farm thing, only watched one or two Top Gear specials, so I can’t really comment on his personality.

But I have noticed he does seem to have a certain charisma that is………undeniable.
