How do Brits feel about the fact that President Donald Trump is angry at Kier Starmer for how he is mistreating the British people because Trump feels very protective of the Brits?

Trump is a convicted felon and a sexist, racist, bigoted idiot. I don’t think we should give airspace to his views. He thinks we are all like Farage.

Trump is a twat.

Nailed it

Insanityisnotastrategy · 16/10/2025 12:18

We deserve every bit of the weak, Orwellian declining country we're turning into if the execrable level of discourse on this thread is anything to go by.

Oh sorry, I mean "Trump is a twat hurr hurr 🤡".

Oblahdeeoblahdoe · 16/10/2025 12:19

There's no fact involved

LakieLady · 16/10/2025 12:27

If Trump is "angry" with Starmer, Starmer's probably doing something right, despite being a personality vacuum who comes across as someone who's afraid to stray from the middle of the road and is in danger of getting hit by traffic from both directions.

And the Giant Cheeto needs to sort out his own fucking country before he starts criticising ours. At least people here aren't being snatched off the streets by the immigration goon squad and deported without due process.

Slightyamusedandsilly · 16/10/2025 12:28

Trump can fuck off. Brits hate him.

Navigatinglife100 · 16/10/2025 12:28

Trump doesnt think. Ignore him.

I’m just saying, his ex wives report emotional stonewalling, being ignored for long periods and generally a total lack of regard for their feelings. I’ve never seen this mentioned on here actually so I would be surprised if it was ‘five minutes’ since the last one.

I am just asking what it has to do with Trump

pointythings · 16/10/2025 12:31

Personally I think if you're picking up your own citizens (and veterans at that) off the street for looking a bit brown and disappearing them for several days without any form of process, you are not entitled to criticise any other country anywhere, ever.

And that's aside from the felonies and ongoing destruction of the free press. I wish I was surprised to see so many cheerleaders for that brand of dictatorship here, but I'm not.

scalt · 16/10/2025 12:33

While in the US you can get your personal phone checked on entry to the country in case you’ve been unpleasant about Trump on social media - something unimaginable here.

Lots of things were "unimaginable here" - until they happened.
Criminal offence to visit your own family.
Having to carry written confirmation in your car that you were a "key worker", in case you were stopped by police.

With all the dictators-in-waiting like Farage, nothing is unimaginable here.
Heck, lots of people thought it was unimaginable that Trump would become president!

Naanspiration · 16/10/2025 12:37

Trump is a low IQ fake.

Who the fuck cares what he claims to think about the UK, he talks constant shite.

TheExcitersblowingupmymind · 16/10/2025 12:40

Cunt Trump only cares about Trump cunt.
Instead of fucking about interfering in other countries sort out your own one.
It's hardly short of all manner of issues too many to list.

You mean antifa who are causing trouble? America are lucky they have ICE. People have had enough of the far left thinking they can riot and destroy.

I'm always puzzled by people who are anti-antifa.

If someone is anti- anti-fascism, does that automatically make them a fascist? It implies to me that a person who is opposed to anti-fascism must at least not have a massive objection to "the fash", as they were called in my day.

If the objection is to the methods and actions of the more extreme antifa elements, they kind of need a different word for the hardcore antifa who engage in the more extreme forms of direct action.

"How do Mumsnetters feel when Americans import their Glady questions from Quora just to wind up the Britishers?"

We generally think Trump is a bell end, and that you lot have lost your fucking minds as a nation.

😂❤👏

Even my 87YO MIL thinks Trump is mad and that anyone who voted for him must be well on the way to Madsville.

Pumpkinspicedshitbags · 16/10/2025 12:54

My 86 year old mum has rapidly progressing dementia. She has decided that Mr. Trump is a “good man”. Really sad.

Starmer is the most disliked PM we’ve ever had. He’s a tw*t. Trump can see right through him.

Do you think he's more disliked than Thatcher was? She was utterly loathed by a hell of a lot of people, including a fair few Tories. My very Tory aunt voted Liberal all the time Thatcher was leader, and a friend's mum actually left the Tory party in disgust at something Thatcher had done.

I suppose it's hard to quantify, really. Is someone who's disliked a bit by almost everyone more or less disliked than someone who's hated with a vegeance by half of them?

I'm neutral when it comes to Starmer, I just think he's dull and ineffectual. But then I look at the rest of Labour front bench and the same applies to an awful lot of them.

FallingIntoAutumn · 16/10/2025 13:05

you mean, sees us as open to manipulation.

Thatcher won 3 general elections, so a lot of people clearly didn't dislike her.

Thatcher was head and shoulders above any politician that is around nowadays.

AgnesX · 16/10/2025 13:13

Trump needs to mind his own business and focus on America instead of sticking his nose into foreign affairs.

Really, speaking the same language is all the UK and US have in common culturally.
