How do Brits feel about the fact that President Donald Trump is angry at Kier Starmer for how he is mistreating the British people because Trump feels very protective of the Brits?

When did this happen?

Btw, this must be the first time I’ve seen a vanishing poster not being arsed to add ANYTHING to the body of their OP beyond an ‘x’. Confused

Feels like a new low for MN. Even bots are way more hard-working than this.

@Butchyrestingface There's a few. They're mostly about Trump and the Queen. One of them is showing on the similar threads bit at the bottom of this

PerkingFaintly · 16/10/2025 11:06

Yeah, the "Similar threads" list for this thread is fascinating!

I assume they're not chosen by a human but an algorithm is picking up similarities.Grin

Advanced Search of this OP is also... as expected...

A lot worse. You will see how this plays out over time. I can assure you it won’t be pretty.

Everything you post is written in this tone of 'I know better than you how this will turn out'. What are your qualifications to proclaim with such assumed assurance?

This. It’s interesting when I ask people which particular trump policies they object to the answer I usually get is ‘the man’s an idiot’, ‘the man’s a racist’. They don’t have a clue - just repeating msm rhetoric.
We should all be grateful trump is fond of the UK. It’s what got us the trade deal with the US.

Increased tariffs, making exporting goods from Britain to the USA isn't something to be grateful for, in my opinion.

We got off very lightly with this and our trade deal is much better than the EU’s. You may not like it but that doesn’t mean it’s not true.

ToWhitToWhoo · 16/10/2025 11:22

I feel that Trump is a would-be fascist who wants us to be fascist too, and we must not let him influence our internal politics.

I'm not a particular fan of Starmer, but he's infinitely better than Trump.

So many totally uneducated people on mouthing off on here as usual. I'm glad we have Trump paying attention to what's going here in the UK. We need all the help we can get.

Yep, I agree.

What makes me laugh is virtually every Islamic Middle Eastern leader approves of him and the way in which he brokered the end of the war, yet middle class white Mumsnet users will confidently proclaim from their keyboards that he’s a white supermacist hellbent on global destruction.

PerkingFaintly · 16/10/2025 11:23

I mean, this actually is Trump is an nutshell. Perpetually setting fire to things and then playing the hero if he even partially puts them out.

You think comparing standard business deals to domestic abuse is remotely appropriate?

And you are? I’ve had Thatcher Johnson Truss & Cameron in my lifetime & right now Starmer is nowhere near the absolute pits they were. All in their own sweet way.

True, but I'd have ANY of them sooner than Trump.

Yes, agreed. Echo chamber of Pearl clutching as usual.

PerkingFaintly · 16/10/2025 11:33

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me. Trump's longterm close advisor and one-time chief of staff Steve Bannon was charged with domestic abuse and dissuading a witness, for allegedly attacking his wife, leaving red marks on her neck, and for intimidating her into not pursuing the case.

All infinitely more competent and less dangerous than the absolute shower of a government we are currently suffering under.

You are delusional.

Haven’t rtft, my response to the question in your title is: LOL.

PerkingFaintly · 16/10/2025 11:39

Which is hardly surprising, given Donald's Trump's first wife Ivana states that he raped her.

Both things can be true. Let’s give him credit for his intervention in the Middle East (while not pretending his motivation was anything other than a bid for the Nobel Peace Prize) by all means. He’s still a white supremacist who tries to interfere in countries that are fuck all to do with him.

Liz Truss? Seriously? Liz "Don't do That, You'll Crash the Economy " Truss?

"Oh no it won't, it'll be sunlit uplands and we'll be rolling in moolah!"

"Oh. Why has the economy tanked? It must me somebody else's fault."

It’s not rape or anywhere near as bad but Corbyn’s ex wives complain about their treatment when married to him and nobody gives a fuck and still sees him as Santa!

It's been a while since we have had a 'but Corbyn'

Corbyn has never been PM let alone President

I’m just saying, his ex wives report emotional stonewalling, being ignored for long periods and generally a total lack of regard for their feelings. I’ve never seen this mentioned on here actually so I would be surprised if it was ‘five minutes’ since the last one.

An increase is an increase and more difficult trade is still more difficult trade.
