If Temu made Ken Dolls they would look like Vance.

🤣

Soukmyfalafel · 16/10/2025 08:37

Can we all just agree that all of our leaders are shit and corrupt instead?

Are any of them really in charge or actually doing the job we elected them to do at all? Nothing is really improving and it feels the world is going backwards. We are arguing whether we prefer to get kicked up the arse or slapped in the face.

I’m pretty sure that the only thing Trump is protective over are his own best interests.

But he does have a point. We’ve not been blessed with the most capable bunch of people to lead us out of the chaos caused by the last lot.

Yes. Best interests and all that that? Bigly's poodles doing a great job. Barking.

Butchyrestingface · 16/10/2025 09:14

When did this happen?

Btw, this must be the first time I’ve seen a vanishing poster not being arsed to add ANYTHING to the body of their OP beyond an ‘x’. Confused

Feels like a new low for MN. Even bots are way more hard-working than this.

Comtesse · 16/10/2025 09:16

Even the Russian bots are getting lazy and can’t be arsed to write a proper post. Tsk!

Comtesse · 16/10/2025 09:17

Lol @Butchyrestingface great minds think alike….

So many totally uneducated people on mouthing off on here as usual. I'm glad we have Trump paying attention to what's going here in the UK. We need all the help we can get.

Fully educated here. I don't get my news from X or Facebook either
Trump is a controlled puppet for project 2025 and they are now putting their mucky feelers our way, aided by Nigel.

No country does well under right wing fundamental Christian control.

We have the NHS, women have access to healthcare, we have workers rights, we have rights for disabled people. Are any of those perfect? Far from it, but if you think any of that will be better under Trumps influence you are either uneducated or deliberately ignorant

Fuck Donald Trump

Give your head a little wobble in

Sal820 · 16/10/2025 09:30

Trump is a narcissist. Narcissists don't care about anyone but themselves. If Trump is pretending to care about the UK then it is only for his own ends.

Stealth18 · 15/10/2025 23:57

A lot worse. You will see how this plays out over time. I can assure you it won’t be pretty.

And you are? I’ve had Thatcher Johnson Truss & Cameron in my lifetime & right now Starmer is nowhere near the absolute pits they were. All in their own sweet way.

Would prefer trump over useless starmer any day

51st state here we come. I look forward to retiring to Florida and gun crime. Lots and lots of gun crime. Obviously kidding but I sudpect there will be changes in the worlds geography over the next few decades.

PerkingFaintly · 16/10/2025 09:44

And your point about "Americas standing" proves my point. His leadership has established the US a country that others take notice of.

That's genuinely funny.Grin

Yep, the US was just some little, ignorable country that no one really took any notice of until Donny Big Boy came along.Easter Grin

Thank you, @Chiseltip . You're a prolific poster and I've sometimes put the effort in to consider your posts seriously even if I disagreed with you. But you've just fixed that.GrinGrin

Can't believe so many are replying to a troll post, especially just to spew hate.

Lazygardener · 16/10/2025 09:45

We feel that Trump feels nothing for anyone except himself.

LassoOfTruth · 16/10/2025 09:48

@Dolphinnoises I certainly don’t disagree with you. All valid points.
I guess I just think that at least the fact that the US gov is pointing in the direction of the UK (and indeed Europe) and highlighting the huge free speech problem over here, might make some of us wake up a bit. And that’s a good thing.
Like him or loathe him, when the POTUS speaks, the world listens. Even when it’s hard to get through some of his speeches 😂
And much as I’m ambivalent towards Trump he isn’t always fairly represented. Biden had a very murky moral code too, he just paid off his rape accuser so it wouldn’t get to court, and none of that really made the news in the UK.

Heck, by today’s standards Washington and Jefferson would probably be characterised as toxic old white men with gun fetishes.
So, is Trump a git? Yeah, a pathological git, off the scale. Should he sort out his own back yard? Definitely. But he isn’t wrong about the situation in the UK.

Levels below that in part due to the length of time they’ve got ahead of them which will only serve to make it almost impossible to recover from what they’ve caused for a very long time indeed.

The social and economic collapse they are engineering will be irreversible in many of our lifetimes.

Just like austerity. The damage that caused will never be repaired.

1dayatatime · 16/10/2025 10:03

This is not a comment on Trump specifically due to the long time frame covering several Presidents. But on how much more wealthy the average US citizen is than the average UK citizen. In 2008 the GDP per capita for the US and the UK was about the same. However since then the US economy has grown significantly whereas the UK has remained stagnant. Yes there are greater inequality issues but even if we take the poorest State in the US which is Mississippi then its GDP per capita is still higher than the UK. There are a number of reasons for this such as Brexit, low productivity, high inflation and a failure to bounce back from COVID.

RafaistheKingofClay · 16/10/2025 10:03

Number 1 rule of Donald Trump. Every accusation is a confession.

We’re just fine here thanks. It might not be amazing but it’s the most competent government we’ve had in at least a decade and it isn’t like there is anyone else competent waiting in the wings from any party. Not charismatic but reasonably safe is as good as it’s going to get for now.

PerkingFaintly · 16/10/2025 10:04

And in a further commitment to free speech and freedom of the press in the US, Trump calls the press “disruptive to world peace", and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth demands journalists sign a promise "not to seek or publish any information the Pentagon hadn’t pre-approved."

Almost every major media outlet, including Fox News, has just walked out of the Department of Defense.

“To agree to not solicit information is to agree to not be a journalist,” said The Atlantic’s Nancy Youssef, who’s covered the Pentagon since 2007. “Our whole goal is soliciting information.”

Trump is half British. His mums first language was Scottish, and she didn't speak English until she was 14 apparently.

Trump is also very good at amplifying the feeling that some people have that the life living is not fair, and using that to find scape goats. I would say he is one of the best in the world at it which is an important skill in a politician.

He is also the only person who could get fascist leaders around the table if incentivised enough. If that skill can be used to bring about a cease fire, then I suggest that someone is doing some great string pulling at the White House.

Edited

Scottish is not a language! She was a native Gaelic speaker but would have been educated in English from 5 years old. My DM had aunts who went to school on one of the Scottish islands and there was no Gaelic allow at school at all or they would have been caned/belted, not even to ask to go to the bathroom. Teaching in Gaelic is a very recent phenomena.
