To think that if you commit a male crime, you should do male time, even if you identify as a woman?

I know this is a sensitive topic but I’ve been thinking about how justice systems handle trans women who commit serious crimes, especially violent or sexual offences, and whether it’s fair to house them in women’s prisons. To me, if you were born male and commit a crime typically associated with male offenders, particularly one involving violence against women, it seems like common sense that you should serve time in a male facility. Identity doesn’t erase biology or risk in those cases.

AIBU to think fairness and safety, especially for vulnerable female prisoners, should come before ideology?

Because gender ideology is like a vampire (in many ways) and people like you talking are the sunlight that kills it.

Perfect analogy 👏

It appears you do. You still argue that men should be allowed into female single sex spaces if they want to enter them, however much this may distress abd upset women. Men are not allowed in female spacs, even if they claim to feel like women. They are not women.

listen i really don't want to get myself banned from mumsnet .

Nowhere, ever, on any part of mumsnet , or in any part of my life, have I ever said that it's ok to touch someone without their consent. I've also been open on this very thread about my own experiences of that.

So stop fucking telling lies: ok?

If you want to have a conversation about the issues, then that's fine, but this you need to stop:

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/10/2025 19:16

Then it’s ok to tell dear Dr Upton that we don’t want him to touch us because he’s a fucking man, isn’t it, @Tandora?

The bullshit that you post should not be allowed to go unchallenged.

Why? No one takes it seriously right?

Yes, as I've stated repeatedly.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/10/2025 19:17

Clearly some misguided people believe in gender identity ideology, so any TRA style discourse needs to be refuted clearly and unequivocally.

I said nothing about touching people. Are you feeling ok? You do however argue thst men should be allowed into female female spaces, that women claiming to be distressed are not really distressed and that the feelings, wishes and needs of women, even rape survivors, count for nothing if a man decides he wants to enter their single sex spaces. You claim to be a SA survivor, but you can’t see how having to share single sex spaces with males could be traumatic and distressing to women. Why? Why should the wishes and wants of trans identified males supersede that of women who will be traumatised by sharing single sex spaces with them?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/10/2025 19:19

That use of “sic” I can’t even 🤣 it’s a quote, Tandora, no one is going to think you did a wrongthink but you don’t get to control my language.

So you admit trans identified males are men?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/10/2025 19:21

Also, the reason I don’t want him to touch me is because he’s a man. That’s the entire point. Why are you omitting a key piece of my post?

That was what the thread you responded to was about. Dont jump into a conversation I'm having with another pp if you are not following it.

The reasons are nobody's business but your own. Nobody has to be touched by anybody without their consent - regardless of the reason.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/10/2025 19:23

Dr Upton is a man. That’s the point. That’s why it’s important that he doesn’t delude himself that when a woman wants female only care he’s a female.

I will jump when and where I want. You quoted my post. I responded. Amazingly I am allowed to post on any thread I like. I know you don’t think women are human beings with feelings but we are. We are not just support humans for men. If you believe that’s what women are, have you considered working on your self esteem?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/10/2025 19:25

No, that’s my reason. It’s not irrelevant. It’s the entire point. He’s a manipulative narcissistic man and I don’t want him to perform intimate procedures on me or any other non consenting woman.

But the whole reason women may not want DU touching them is because he’s a man. You omitting that part of the post changes the whole meaning.

Right, so you understand that women need to be able to have the vocabulary to explain who they consent to being touched by, and that forcing us to pretend that some men are women prevents us from doing that?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 04/10/2025 19:27

The poll so far with 649 votes: 95% YANBU that men who have committed male crimes (violence and sex crimes) should not be in women’s prisons

5% that they should

The 5% will have been bussed in from Reddit, surely.

At least I know what words mean. I mean I know the meanings of man, woman, male female, sex and no. You’ve said you use different meanings for all of these words. I think the incoherency is not from me.

your reasons are irrelevant to me- I respect your right not to be touched by anyone without your consent regardless of the reason - which are your own. Your sovereignty over your own body is absolute.

Your comments about DU are disgraceful. I don't really think you are a nice person tbh and I don't see that there is benefit in this dialogue.

Dr Upton said that he would treat a patient who had requested a female doctor because he considers himself to be female.

That is disgraceful, and should be a striking off offence.
