Something that stays with you, or something that you reference all the time?

Mine is Autoglass Repair Autoglass Replace. Literally, the second my windscreen got a crack this week, I knew i'd just contact them.

They're actually just called 'Autoglass' as well, but i still say the full tagine for the fun of it.

Have not had a chance to RTFT, but this looks a good question so I will…

Mine is Flik Flak watches. They’re still on billboards all over the world and whenever I see one I sing “flik flak are water resistant, flik flak are shock resistant, flik flak flik flak flik flak are swiss made!”

never bought one though!

I can still hear this!

Probably the safest place to eat it, it gets everywhere.

“You’ll never put a better bit of butter on your knife” (Countrylife butter)

”Charlie says never talk to strangers” (cartoon cat teaching about stranger danger)

Ski yoghurt: “I like Ski, oh I like Ski, oh I like Ski man, cos it’s thick and fruity.”

”Hands that do dishes can be soft as your face with mild green Fairy Liquid”

Just one Cornetto, give it to me, delicious ice cream from Italy

DocMcMuffin · 26/09/2025 19:32

Milk has got a lotta bottle, nice cold ice cold milk

powershowerforanhour · 26/09/2025 19:35

All the jingle ones with the name of the product in probably.

Don't know how effective they were but the NI confidential telephone ads were pretty memorable. Hearing The Cat's In The Cradle will remind most Northern Irish of a certain age of this:

Hahahaaa I'm sure he was the brother in law of my nana's friend 🤣

brunettemic · 26/09/2025 20:26

mumofoneAloneandwell · 26/09/2025 17:10

Not sure what Accrington stanley even is but I can hear the name in my head

It was a milk advert, you’ll be able to find it on YouTube I expect. The fact you can hear it shows how effective it was I guess. It must be a really satisfying job to create adverts that impact people so strongly….says me the finance person 😂

SpinelessBastardsAll · 26/09/2025 20:56

Just sent this to DS, but he didn't know the advert Grin

Wall13 · 26/09/2025 21:02

Ah Bisto…….
Hovis bread

meganorks · 26/09/2025 21:07

The Detol ad where they try and scare the bejesus out of you when someone has touched some chicken and the proceeds to leave germy, florescent finger marks everywhere. DH takes the piss out of me every time we are cooking chicken as it honestly scares me more than anything!

Toseland · 26/09/2025 21:15

We love "Chewier than Barrow-in-Furness Bus Depot!" from Chewits, still makes us laugh and has become a household running joke.
Benson & Hedges print ads in the 80s (when they banned overt cigarette advertising) were outstanding, particularly the pyramids one.

Cattenberg · 26/09/2025 21:20

I've remembered that the most effective ad for me was for Bounty. A coconut falls on a tropical beach and splits in half. The voiceover says, "Bounty, a taste of paradise".

Not only do those tropical beaches represent paradise for me, but the word Bounty actually tastes of paradise (I have synaesthesia). And I also have a pack of Bounties in my cupboard, with only one left.

Cattenberg · 26/09/2025 21:21

Also, Old English Sheepdogs are "Dulux dogs" in our house.

PansyPotter84 · 26/09/2025 21:24

Has anyone mentioned the following ear-worms yet?

”You can’t get quicker than a kwik-fit fitter!
weeeeee’re the ones to trust!”

”Yum-tum yum-tum yum-tum yum-tum yum-tum diddle-i-po!”

”Heinz buildz Britz”

and the “There’s nothing quite like a McDonalds” song!

PansyPotter84 · 26/09/2025 21:25

I think the “Back to Sleep” campaign has been pretty successful at reducing SIDS.
