To sue the company who makes peppa pig

On Friday, my 10-year-old son jumped in a muddy puddle and got mud in my eye, all over his school uniform, all over the car, and all over the porch. He also threw his 23-year-old sibling’s CV out of the window as a paper airplane, which he had made a long time ago, causing delays in their job search. He has been saying that I have a big tummy, which has hurt my feelings, and was refusing to get out of the car after we drove home from school. Most times when I ask why he does these things, he says things like "Peppa Pig does it," "Peppa Pig did it," "George did it," or "George Pig does it." I have noticed that he has been displaying all this behavior after watching Peppa Pig.

@Needmorelego The same thing they were thinking when they made the various terrifying public information films that were shown in school.

I think it was 'this will scare the beejeezus out of them and make sure they don't mess about on the railway lines'

Watership down's message was 'you think you've got it tough kid - be thankful you're not a rabbit (or a pit pony)'

BourgeoisBabe · 15/09/2025 15:02

Is this a joke?

Got to admit though, Bright Eyes is a wonderful song

Edited

It's singing in my head right now.
I'm gonna be stuck with it for several hours.

Rooroobear · 15/09/2025 15:03

He’s 10! Kids blame other things to get out of trouble. He’s being naughty end of. Don’t blame a tv show, sort him out and use some discipline. Actions have consequences. Jfc how ridiculous to blame a tv show for poor parenting

Don’t kids stop watching peppa pig in reception?

Damn, you mean I've got to give up my Peppa fix now I'm 57?

deadpan · 15/09/2025 15:04

Is this a joke?

MyrtleLion · 15/09/2025 15:04

It wasn't Peppa Pig. It was JK Rowling's fault.

Shewasafaireh · 15/09/2025 15:06

lmao this can’t be real 😭 😭 Peppa is a brat but she’s not out there leading your child astray. I know it sounds wild but you can limit what your kids watch???

My BIL hates peppa with a fiery passion so she’s banned from their household. They’re firmly on Bluey’s territory.

hagchic · 15/09/2025 15:11

@ruethewhirl Of course not, you just need to find some children for cover - any chance of borrowing some or becoming a childminder?

Sammyspurs · 15/09/2025 15:12

For me- The Tweenies have a lot to answer for.. especially Bella

EmeraldShamrock000 "his stomach rumble is like clockwork"

Well now I'm imagining a man whose stomach goes "tick tock, tick tock" and it's all your fault!

I'll join you with a retrospective lawsuit for Horrid Fckng Henry

We lived in Canada when DD was small. I would happily throttle Caillou with my bare hands.

And to PP, it’s clearly a joke. As is the OP. FFS.

Epidote · 15/09/2025 15:22

I love when someone ask me how long something will take and I quote Mr bull saying "it will take as long as it takes"

never mind Peppa pig n moody Margaret what about Angelica from the Rugrats like seriously

Lavenderandbrown · 15/09/2025 15:34

Elmo is very kind as are all the Sesame Street characters. SpongeBob is very kind and an optimist who takes pride in his job and loves his friends and uses his imagination. We still quote SpongeBob. I haven’t seen most of them but I have listened to all of them.

My American step grandD affected a British accent for some time during her peppa days.

as an aside (thinking of the Mrs:Miss rabbits) I noticed the man playing Mr Noodle changed in some episodes. Clearly a different man and I thought how are they passing that off??and then I listened and Elmo clearly says Mr. Noodles’ brother Mr Noodle.

Susan7654 · 15/09/2025 15:35

It will get worse! Wait till he starts watching The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. My daughter found out there - that when you do some bad stuff you should never ever admit to anyting and just plain deny it. She lives by the rules of the bad kids in this book. Mainly wimpy kid brother rules ;) she adores books and movies. But glad to say she is almost past her teenage years now so we have tiktok and instagram inluencers rocking her world lol

I think the lawyers of the land will be beating a path to your door for the opportunity to set new legal precedents in the duty of care owed by cartoon makers to its audience

PinkFlloyd · 15/09/2025 15:46

HRTFT but from your OP he should sue you for being parented so poorly for him to have watched the amount needed to influence any child to that extent, let alone a ten year old.
