Turn your son in knowing it’s the death penalty?

1000 replies

TaupeLemur · 12/09/2025 15:28

Kirk’s killer has apparently been turned in by his family - or persuaded to hand himself in.
Trump &’his supporters have been very vocal about getting the death penalty for the shooter.

would YOU hand your child over, knowing that the electric chair would be the likely outcome?

YANBU - I wouldn’t turn him in to die.

YABU - I would he’s a killer and deserves all he gets

Let me make this very clear. I am the one arguing it’s wrong. Here is video of Charlie Kirk saying it: https://www.reddit.com/r/ToiletPaperUSA/s/mX2PMczjQZ

And here you are, supporting it. Which is disgusting.

I should start by saying I’m fundamentally opposed to the death penalty.

I wouldn’t hand my own child over the the police knowing it was the death penalty however sure I was they were guilty and however heinous their crime.

Even if it was logically the right thing to do, I think only a psychopath could knowing contribute to / bring about their own child’s death.

What if they might kill again?

stoptheworldiwanna · 12/09/2025 23:39

My son is not a far left aggressive violent totalitarian who hates people having the right to hold opinions, so he would absolutely never have behaved like this, I cannot even ask it as a hypothetical, it is so far from anything he would or could ever do. I would never have to make that choice, is the answer.

As for the man who murdered Kirk, I hope they publicly execute him. We need to bring back public executions for political assasinations and also for child rape.

Worralorra · 12/09/2025 23:40

I don’t agree with the death penalty, either, however, his father, as a law enforcement officer, really had no choice but to turn him in…
I feel really sorry for his father, as he had probably drummed into his children the importance of adhering to the law.
He was damned either way…

No, never. He might have turned out to be an evil little shit but I disagree with the death penalty for anyone.

Surely not for child murderers? :-/

Eyesopenwideawake · 12/09/2025 15:58

Don't forget that Daddy would have theoretically forced his 10 year old daughter to give birth to child as a result of rape and would have commended his son to death if he turned out to be gay.

That's what he preached.

The second one was a joke.

Well, I suppose it's a relief to know extremism doesn't run in the family. 💀

kkloo · 12/09/2025 23:42

Haven't kept up with the whole thread so this may have been said but CNN are saying the suspect had said he would rather kill himself than turn himself in.

Yes. Many people do not agree with state sanctioned murder for any crime.

Yeah, that's grim. If he actually did that to a 10 year old, any ten year old, I'd have been happy if he went to prison for life.

However, he spoke hypothetical words, he didn't do it. I don't like a lot of what he said - but being shot dead by people for speaking words means it is now a free for all.

Should you be shot dead for writing words on this forum? Should I?

It's not remotely extemist to want terrorists and child rapists executed. It is bizarre that you would pretend otherwise. I wonder what your hard drive looks like.

The second one was a joke.

I'm confused, what's the funny part about forcing a tiny pre-teen to carry and birth a child? Or is it the executing gay people that's funny? I don't get it.

No one has said that his murder is justified.

Apparently the earlier reports were wrong, and the dad was never in law enforcement, he ran a construction company.

Absolutely not, which is also what I have been saying. I think you can not want to see him shot because murder is wrong and what happened was terrible, and also not be sorry he's dead because he was a bad person who made a point of spreading hate. Those are different
things.

So you think that anyone not calling for public executions of other humans is a paedophile? Wow. If your kids really have turned out normal, send them my congratulations, they've done well.

Ok then why are you arguing at all? You agree he should not have been assassinated no matter the words he spoke. So that's that, then?

Every single person on here has said that. But you can be horrified that he was murdered and also not be sorry he’s dead because he was a terrible person. The two are not mutually exclusive.

So there is literally no point to the comment, the video or any of it then? Righto.
