I am looking to redecorate, my kitchen is very tired. I want something neutral enough or possibly light green. Anyone want to show me their kitchens for ideas? im really bad at this and find googling images just gives me perfect instagram kitchens. Thank you

Sorry but why don't these kitchens have crap everywhere?

Mine is green and simple, we have limited space but also a baby so added a table in the middle of the room, so we can all eat together. The bannister/posts are now also sage green but haven't got a photo of this.

Your cat in prime position up there! Love it!! 🥰

I’m a self confessed “always have a tidy house” type of person 😬🤣

Lovely.

And hello little cat!

What beautiful kitchens you all have

MaybeItsTimeForMeNow · 12/09/2025 18:49

Mine would look like some of those but you can't see it under the yoyo bear wrappers, the school flasks waiting to be washed....i envy you tidy organised people 😄

Why did I imagine myself dancing around in this kitchen? I don’t/ can’t even dance 😂

Recently had mine done in pale yellow and green

This is gorgeous! So cosy and full of character.

Haha agreed. Mine has piles of pots on the draining board, the recycling piling up next to the bin, lunch bags waiting to be emptied and a bit mess off tea to clean up 😆

Obeseandashamed · 12/09/2025 18:55

Some truly gorgeous kitchens and all look like cosy homes rather than showroom kitchens 😍

Love it! I do dance around when I’m alone and doing dishes, it’s not overlooked by any other house so no one can see me looking a prat 😂

@elliesmummy19 the drawers certainly give us much more usable space, as the space comes out to meet you, rather than you having to get on your knees to rummage around in a dark cupboard. They are much more expensive than cupboards though.

Having the cupboards right up to the ceiling not only gives more shelf space, it also eliminates all the clutter which tends to be put on top of the cupboards which looks so messy.

There are loads of clever things we didn't have done as we just had to work within a budget - but we did get pull out wire shelves for some of the full length cupboards. And one long narrow cupboard actually has it built in so that opening the door pulls out the cupboard.

Same here. Trying to stop my husband leaving the mail on the dining table and receipts on the breakfast bar 😬

Mintearo7 · 12/09/2025 19:12

I’m confess I just have one saved pic of my tidy kitchen which is shareable. Anyway, my best advise is to have a ‘triangle’ i.e. have the sink and bin, dishwasher next to each other , and a large draw with the most plates/cutlery opposite. Functionality is key! Also corner units tend to be more expensive.

I like yours best, I like the cupboard handles, the colour of the cabinets, the walls and it looks really inviting.

Devilsmommy · 12/09/2025 19:38

BallybunionTao · 12/09/2025 16:07

Mine is currently a building site, but the cabinets, when there are cabinets, will be painted Inchyra blue and the walls a sort of olive. I like a dark room.

Same here, I like the cosiness of darker colours. Mines forest green doors and drawer fronts, dark oak worktops and the wallpaper is dark beige with black and white pictures of old style ads for bread, eggs, fruit, tea, coffee etc. with brushed brass fittings with a black sink.

Clafoutie · 12/09/2025 19:40

Lovely kitchens here! But jeez, feeling very inadequate now. Mine is not something that could be photographed 😪

TammyJones · 12/09/2025 19:43

Such beautiful kitchens

PirateDays · 12/09/2025 20:24

Omg all of these kitchens are so tidy and spotless! Do people really have so little on their worktops!?
