I keep hearing that the 'illegal migrants' certain people are frothing about only make up 1% of overall migration.
Why can't people just get things into perspective?
Also, the press report as if it's only the U.K. experiencing undocumented immigration - when in fact, numbers here are lower than in Spain, France, Italy and Germany.
This narrative that we are somehow being 'invaded' or that 'they all want to come here' is just FALSE.
When people rant about 'why don't they stay in France if they need a safe country?' - well, the majority do! However, a proportion will inevitably try to move onwards to the U.K., presumably for language reasons, or they might know someone already here.
All countries in Western Europe are dealing with the issue of undocumented migration. It will only escalate as climate change takes hold. The only way to deal with it is to work closely with our European neighbours on a collective approach to smash the people smuggling gangs, because as long as these gangs can get people into Europe, a proportion will inevitably want to come here.
Farage's so-called policy of rounding up illegal migrants into military-style detention centres will make no difference. He will have to build these centres for a start. Countries such as Germany already process migrants in detention centres - it has made no difference and migrant numbers have escalated.
Leaving the ECHR will be as disastrous as Brexit and, like Brexit, it will achieve absolutely nothing. The process will be highly contested and drag on and on for years and years, at great expense. In any case, do you think people smugglers care about the ECHR?
People were fooled into voting Brexit to 'Take Back Control' of borders. Now everyone can see, that was a lie and BREXIT HAS FAILED. Voting for Farage's plan to exit Britain from the ECHR is another lie that will FAIL, causing far wider negative repercussions than it will solve.
What did Farage do the day after 'the people' voted Brexit? HE RESIGNED.
He will do the same again. He is only interested in whipping up division. He knows that people are easier to control when you give them someone else to blame. This is all he's about and it's a cynical tactic.
'The people' who vote for him are the very ones who have most to lose from Reform's economic agenda.
Reform voters - how do you feel about his stated plan to give tax incentives to those using private schools?
How do you feel about his plan that people will only pay stamp duty on properties above £750k?
Will any of this fund 'our NHS' etc etc? Are these policies likely to improve quality of life in your communities?
Stop chanting 'get them out' and waving your silly flags like mindless sheep and get perspective. Illegal migration is 1% of total migration. Reform and TR have you all making a pathetic spectacle of yourselves outside a few hotels. But open your eyes to what Reform are really about - because they are certainly NOT about 'working class communities.' You are just easy targets.
