AIBU to think chocolate should NOT be kept in the fucking fridge?

DH believes chocolate (including biscuits e.g. digestives) should be kept in the fridge because “it tastes nicer, keeps its shape and lasts longer”.

I believe chocolate should not be kept in the fridge because it’s fucking wrong, basically. Am I being unreasonable?

(There is also another AIBU worthy sub question, which is that if you can say you can fit a chocolate digestive in your mouth, YABU to then break it into pieces with bites as you put it in, so that it fits? This is clearly cheating and DH should be told he is YABU just for this alone? If I lose this fridge thread, I’ll start that one )

I like my chocolate room temperature, it tastes a million times better than cold.

Tomatoes definitely should not be in the fridge, I agree. They taste of nothing but cold if you do that.

This. Chocolate digestives are only edible from the fridge. All Chocolate should be eaten cold.
NRFT so apols if thousands have already said this.... but Jaffa Cakes should always be frozen. They are sooo much better and you can lever off the boring cake with your teeth then have a lovely cold disc of orange (or other flavour) to melt in your mouth with the chocolate. Room temp Jaffa Cakes are all cake, no yum.

Ooh, good idea there, the cake is the big let down with jaffa cakes. What I really want is something like an after eight but with the jaffa cake orange filling. To be kept in the freezer.

YABU. I agree that SOME chocolate isn’t for the fridge, however bounty bars and Turkish delights are absolutely divine from the fridge.

Better in cupboard generally but fridge in very hot weather.

Matter of taste. My partner likes his chilled, my son not so they get their own supply each.

You’re all insane. Fridge chocolate is like eating plastic, flavourless and horrible. This is such a disgrace. I’m with you op. I could cope with a digestive as the layer is thin and warm quickly. But a chocolate bar? What sort of madness would it be to eat cold chocolate?! Awful.

Why? They keep fresh for longer. Bananas don’t go in the fridge but my tomatoes always do.

Ooh reminds me of being in the canteen in college, we used to dip Twix fingers into our coffee! Yum . I’m clearly a chocolate heathen !

I microwave chocolate for 20 seconds, tastes way nicer when warm and soft
