VAWG is at epidemic proportions in NI and pretty shit across the rest of the UK. I wish people would spend as much energy tackling the cancer that is VAWG as they do co-opting the real plight of women and children into their culture wars.

I think women in the UK are at a higher risk of violence from men who come from countries where there are higher rates of violence against women.

Sadly this is what i worry about. Men who are raised in countries where by law women have few rights, believing women are lesser and can be legally subjugated, are likely to have a different view on how its ok to treat women. Extending to:

• thinking a woman wearing revealing clothing is automatically a prostitute/asking for it
• thinking it is acceptable for a man to hit his wife
• believing a woman must always give her husband sex if he demands it
• not understanding the concept of enthusiastic consent

Boris Johnson was also responsible for the massive increase in legal migration. I'm sure it was close to a million a year, or not far off it. Hardly a vote winner with his red wall, but there we are.

I don't have any stats to hand for per capita sexual offenses in the UK by nationality - I do suspect it would differ from eg Germany or Sweden as, in particular Germany took massive amounts of asylum seekers, in a very chaotic and unvetted way at one point.
