To think that white British/ American etcmen are just as much a threat to women as migrants?

malificent7 · 08/08/2025 12:47

I am not excusing grooming, paedophile sex rings and unmonitored immigration at all but I hate all these protests.
I know that my white male ex teacher is a sex offender. Not to mention the Epstein scandal.
Aibu to think that ALL men are a danger to women...not just men of different ethnicities/ religions etc?

I'm perfectly capable of following a conversation. You appear to not only be incapable of speaking with clarity but incapable of engaging with an argument.

😂😂😂

Again you're refusing to engage in the discussion because you don't have anything of worth to contribute.

Will you be running out of stock replies soon?

Speaking is statistics ( taken direct from here: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/offender-management-statistics-quarterly-january-to-march-2025 )

Interestingly in terms of ethnicity white males were still the most likely to be in prison followed by mainly European ones....

Will have to dig deeper to see if there is a breakdown of offences but either these men from misogynistic countries are getting away with it on a massive scale or they might not be the main problem and maybe we also need to look closer to home?

Nothing interesting or surprising there. It’s to be expected in a country where the majority is white. Something would have to be very , very wrong to have it the other way around.

No idea why my post was deleted, it wasn't abusive, it was simply a precis of the points I'd already made, for someone who claimed not to be able to follow them. I suppose if they really want to understand then they can reread. It isn't actually difficult.

@ThatCyanCat what a shame that was deleted. I read it, and thought it was spot on, and not at all abusive or boundary-crossing. But hey ho.

TailorOfPanama · 08/08/2025 22:25

All men pose a risk to women but certainly important large numbers of men from cultures where violence to women is more predominant poses a greater risk.

I know I'd rather be locked in a dark room with 10 old men than 10 young men so pretending all risk is the same is dishonest.

It's my view that these days, there is an element of the left that is more concerned with performativeness than actual politics and social change, and as a result, its attitude is dishonest, disingenuous, hypocritical and not really vastly different from the right as it's just as rigid and wilfully blind. And it means it loses support.

Can I say that? We shall see.

MiloMinderbinder925 · 08/08/2025 19:38

So the Tories are left?

No, they're liberal. Liberal and the traditional left wing are not the same thing. Problem is the modern left has been taken over by liberals (who've also taken over the Conservative Party). That's why all equilibrium has been lost. The uni-party are basically the Lib Dems.

Tories are also often pro-mass immigration because it keeps rents high (a lot of Tory MPs are landlords) and wages low (which suits their donors).

Absolutely. I saw a clip by a comedian recently saying he really wants to be left wing but they’re just so awful and locked into an aggressive purity spiral that they would rather get the wrong outcome ‘done the right way’, than get the right outcome done in a way they feel is anything less than absolutely ideologically perfect. You’re right, it’s a performance - all about the self rather than the issue they claim to care about

Problem is 'the left' has been hijacked by middle class liberals, particularly at universities and the like. It's all 'right on' causes like Trans rights, refugees welcome and Palestine activism, which don't really appeal to the average working class person whose own prospects are shit and whose has changed for the worse.

Therefore those people - traditionally Labour - were compelled to vote Brexit and will vote Reform because the Labour Party have contempt for them.

The same dynamic has happened in America with the dreadful Democrats allowing Trump in again, by becoming the party of woke liberals rather than working class people.

Let's go back to the original post I was responding to:

According to YouGov, which tends to skew left, 73% of people think immigration has been too high in the past 10 years. The left has well and truly lost this argument.

For the last 14 years, immigration has increased exponentially under a right wing government. In fact, during their last year, it reached a million. Therefore it hasn't been the left who have increased immigration or argued for more immigration. Bringing cheap labour into the country tends to keep wages down.

notnorman · 08/08/2025 22:40

in Sweden a 2025 study from Lund University found that nearly two-thirds of convicted rapists in Sweden were first- or second-generation immigrants.

My previous message that I've never met an American or English man who has shot a female for wanting education was deleted by mn
...so they clearly support the shooting of children for ideological reasons... Malala ... sorry is this a factually incorrect comment. Was she not shot because she wanted to go to school, or was it she sat in someone's seat...mn. Please comment... you deleted the comment didn't contact me...so what...mum's net doesn't support female education? But doesn't want statements that may upset some people

SpaceRaccoon · 08/08/2025 22:48

these boats were full of families then there wouldn't be the same level of moral panic.

I think "justified alarm" would be a better way of putting it than "moral panic".

New Labour opened the borders. The Tories just opened them wider. Both liberal parties (post-Blair) rather than left or right.

I don't think mass immigration is a left wing cause, it's just been hijacked by liberals who have basically been sold as left wing.

The Tories as you point out are also content with mass immigration because it keeps wages down and as homeowners it keeps house prices/rents rising. It's not for any altruistic purposes. god forbid these immigrants turn up in their leafy Tory/Lib Dem areas - keep them in working class communities.

Similar thing but the look at the scene at Yarmouth today with an MP in a frenzy over a boat on the water in his constituency which turned out to be a charity rower. Panic and hysteria will set in if the government won't do what it takes to restore our border.

Immigration under Blair was 250k, under the Tories it reached a million.

Can you explain how the Tories are liberal?

Well they certainly weren't conservative.

. Pro-mass immigration (even if they don't campaign on it, the Tories are the most pro-immigration party out there as you have demonstrated there with the numbers).
. Cameron's most heralded achievement was legalising gay marriage - very much a liberal policy
. increased foreign aid
. committed to net zero
. didn't repeal any of the ultra-liberal Blairite laws
. defunded the police
