Touchingly naive. You have no idea what they did with that email address. It's entirely possible they didn't check your age at all, just sold it to scammers. Or maybe they used it as intended and then still sold it to scammers.
The majority of the 'big' sites that people visit are owned by one company. They make an absolute FORTUNE through their legitimate business, literal billions. They have no need whatsoever to sell your details to scammers for pennies.
They are almost universally using independent third part verification services that already existed. You're able to check exactly what happens with your data before submitting it.
And that's at the more legit end of the market. The small sites that routinely give their viewers viruses and malware are going to have a field day with bank details and email addresses.
It's not 2010 anymore - these sites pretty much died out when The Hub and similar sites popped up offering content safely, anonymously and for free.
Besides, anyone dumb enough to put their bank details into a random grot site full of pop ups in 2025 deserves everything they get.
