Avocado, for example, delicious when ripe and served cold or at room temperature, but disgusting if heated.
What are your pet hates, temperature-wise?

I quite enjoy baked beans hot, but my cousin eats them cold out of the tin. The thought of it makes me feel sick yukky.

I had a colleague who used to put grated parmesan on food and then heat in the communal microwave in the open plan office. The stench was indescribable.

My old school used to serve cold baked beans at the salad bar.

I still maintain to this day that is why they were shut down

Agree with avocado, and would add that tinned tuna should not be served hot. Avocado and tuna panini are an abomination.

Yes for avocado, of course, but tinned tuna is really nice hot with eg a tuna melt panini, or tuna pasta. Tuna with hot melty cheese is great. But agree not with hot avocado.

Cold for me every time!

Chips and sausage rolls should be hot.

Grapes must be fridge cold.

Chocolate must be room temperature.

I love cooked avocado, especially if it's slightly underripe. Also cold baked beans straight out of the tin, cold chips and sausage rolls and hot cucumber in Chinese food.

But agree with the PP about tuna mayonnaise - never hot!

pizza must be hot - cold pizza is disgusting!
congealed cheese where the fat is all separated and sitting in a slimy layer on top - when it’s hot it’s all gooey and delicious and flavoursome, when it’s cold it’s nasty 🤮

I like hot avocado, wouldn't just bake it whole but I have a recipe with it and it's nice. Same With tuna. Again wouldn't just roast some tuna mayo but a tuna melt panini is delicious

But I do agree baked beans should be warm and cucumber should be cold. Even worse than baked beans cold is spaghetti hoops cold, and I recently bought a cheese toasty than came with cold heinz tomato soup 🤢

Sausage rolls if it's a nice butchers one or waitrose deli counter it can be cold, but a Greg's sausage roll or a basic sausage roll needs to be hot, freshly cooked though not just limp and reheated

A scotch egg needs to be hot

I like hot quiche but cold makes me feel sick.

I love cold beans with cold pork pie and pickled onions...Boxing Day staple in our house when we were kids.

Toast should always be cold before buttering too

IMO cold pasta, e.g in a salad, is a gross travesty. Pasta should be hot, with a sauce. Though I could just about forgive anyone eating (say) a chunk of leftover lasagne at room temperature, but then it’s sandwiched between sauces anyway.
