Avocado, for example, delicious when ripe and served cold or at room temperature, but disgusting if heated.
What are your pet hates, temperature-wise?

I would have said coleslaw should be cold from the fridge, but I had a panini and side salad with warm coleslaw at a garden centre the other day and it was surprisingly nice.

Has to be a massive salad too - just no! Lasagne is not a health food, stop trying to turn it into one 🤣

Cold quiche ..ughhh.

I had a glut of cucumbers growing last year and found this recipe. Once cooked, you'd hardly know they weren't courgettes.

I don’t like cold quiche, anything with cold pasta or cold pizza either and I’m not over fond of cold rice in salads etc

Yes! Cold pasta is too slimy!

Somebody once tried to convince me to eat fried cucumber because its just like courgette , nope I'm not doing that ( and I don't like courgette anyway)

Cold: Cornflakes, branflakes, shreddies, rice pops, muesli
Hot: Weetabix, Shredded wheat, porridge

I also find there is a difference between was-hot-now-cold (e.g a drumstick 30 minutes off a BBQ) and chilled-from-the-frifge.

Cold chocolate, cold baked beans and
cold pizza are all wrong

Cold soup is Wrong. Soup should be hot. Otherwise it's like a savoury cold sauce in a bowl and you don't want a whole bowl of savoury cold sauce.

Cold noodles are surprisingly nice.

Anything with mayo shouldn't be hot. Even mayo on burgers is a bit wrong in my view.

I've never heard of avo served hot, that sounds gross! I don't really love avo at the best of times. It's like, how can a vegetable taste like butter? And the texture and the way it goes brown...

Pineapple on pizza is an absolute abomination.

I don't like pasta salad either. Especially those ones from the supermarket. So something that's meant to hot shouldn't be served cold with mayo?!
It's about as far from what 'salad' should be as Donald Trump is to Mother Teresa?

Agree, unless it's apple crumble 😋 But pineapple on pizza? 🤮 just wrong.

Quiche is always much nicer when warmed up a bit, anyway.

I’d agree with cold soups, except for a really good, proper Gazpacho on a really hot day.

Cold lamb is horrible

My favourite super-lazy meal once in a while, is a tin of tuna, drained and flaked, mixed with a can of condensed mushroom soup, all warmed up, and mixed with freshly cooked pasta. Served with frozen peas.

I thought this sounded gross until I tried it, aeons ago now. Very tasty!

DH eats pork pie hot, I eat it cold

Weetabix was my first thought! Sil and I continuously clash over her cold soggy bricks vs my warm textureless mush to quote our last convo on it lol

Cold pizza is better than hot pizza imho. But not cold garlic bread.

Hot chocolate fudge cake much better than room temp fudge cake.

I think the majority of food is better out of an especially cold fridge, chocolate, pizza, fruit, mashed potatoes- basically everything.
