You are right. Left over lamb heated up in a stirfry is a proper treat though.

I'm obviously weird - cold quiche only. Tastes better & doesn't have that wobbly texture!

I quite like a side salad with Lasagne i am aware it adds no health benefits 😀

Plain milk should never be drunk at anything above 6° temp. ‘Warm milk at bedtime’ makes me think of vomit.

I prefer cold quiche to hot, cold custard, and cold fruit (even though I know they tend to be more flavourful at room temp). DS and I also don’t like pesto pasta if it’s hot.
DP won’t eat warm or hot brownies/fudge cake/etc. but other than that prefers everything extra piping hot.

I'm not a fan of hot smoked salmon.
I think devil's on horseback are delicious - prune stuffed with an almond, wrapped in bacon and grilled.
Similarly I think a slice of pineapple with gammon is delicious with tart sweetness cutting across the smokey salt. On a pizza - no.

Just thought of another, cold strawberries -room temperature so much better.

When my mum first bought an avocation the 80s, baked avocado was the dinner party recipe du jour. She was hip!

Lots of things taste better at room temperature because cold dulls flavour. That's why you need so much more sugar in ice cream than you do making custard.

Chocolate is so much nicer at room temperature. Apples and grapes are nice cold.

I think putting red wine in the fridge is blasphemous. Likewise with chocolate.

I love cold pizza, more than hot. The joy of knowing there’s half a pizza in the fridge.

I love cold baked beans far more than hot, similarly I used to like cold Ambrosia rice straight from the tin back in the days when the children liked it for pudding.

Gazpacho, vichyssoise, lovely refreshing cold soups, properly chilled, not just left out to go cold.

Me too! Maltesers straight from the freezer are a favourite of mine.
