To not agree with David Beckham being knighted

Those two are so full of their own self importance already. A knighthood will make them even worse. Absolute publicity seeking pains. They've been angling for this for years.

Absolutely spot on - all of it. What a goal that was! His Netflix documentary was very insightful.

I’d scrap the whole knighthood system, it is so abused. But I think he deserves it as much as anyone else who has got it, more than most.

On an unrelated note, he’s so handsome still/now.

David Beckham was instrumental in us getting the 2012 Olympics! He has done a lot of charity work,he absolutely deserves a Knighthood.

Giving the knighthoods out like bloody sweets. They mean nothing now if a celeb gets one. What about average Joe on the street whos done lots for charity/community/someone? Not someone who had a paddy a few years ago and wrote on emails stropping about not being knighted!

David Beckham is just a Royal Family arse licker just to get his undeserved knighthood, all he ever did was kick a ball round a field and now he's in commercials and probably getting paid for it, and his missus who never cracks a smile was a spice girl no talent whatsoever, there are people who are more deserving rather than these pair of self centred publicity seekers drowning in too much money.

Not a thing, @BobbyBiscuits . Have always admired Victoria. Made her start as a member of a girl band and went on to marry David, the man of the moment.She then built up her own clothing business and made a success of it. Good for her! She came from an ordinary background.and has made the most of herself. She is also very.family oriented. Good luck to her!

I know what you mean OP but it’s for the football (and he does deserve it for that). If the papers are right it was held back for years because of other behaviour. Maybe Prince William put in a good word for him?

Her talent for singing wasn’t great, and he’s bailed her business out with his millions more than once! If she hadn’t married David , would her clothing business have even taken off? She may be a barrel of laughs in private, but most photos show her looking sullen, as if she’s afraid to risk a smile in case a wrinkle forms.

He threw his dummy out of the pram when he failed to get a knighthood before, and he insulted the panel who select those suitable for knighthoods. Petulant, childish behaviour.

I haven't really looked up all the stuff he has done for charity etc, but if he works hard for them then fair enough.
