By “thing” - I don’t mean people. I’m sure there are people from our childhoods that we would all want to bring back more than any “thing” in the world.

The thing that I would bring back would be tinned Spaghetti Hoops with Hotdogs in Smokey-Bacon Sauce by Heinz.

Best thing ever in the 90s IMHO!

Common sense.

Umthisisabitawkward · 05/06/2025 18:01

Decent Wagon Wheels! They used to be so delicious.

FanofLeaves · 05/06/2025 18:02

Full sugar ribena. Old salt
and vinegar Discos, that were so sharp and salty and the taste just is not the same now.
‘Secret’ chocolate bar that Cadburys did.

Woolies pick and mix. Woolies everything 😩

IDareSay · 05/06/2025 18:02

Good manners

Chocolateorange22 · 05/06/2025 18:02

Real UK made chocolate, not the current oily America slop we have nowadays

Dangermoo · 05/06/2025 18:03

Cabana chocolate bar and the Pipkins.

fixingmylife · 05/06/2025 18:03

Pacers. They were a minty version of opal fruits. They had a pale green and white stripe through them if my memory serves me correct!

c3pu · 05/06/2025 18:03

Um bongo

laurini · 05/06/2025 18:03

Life without smartphones

Beryls · 05/06/2025 18:04

I'd totally forgotten about the smokey bacon sauce hoops and sausages! They were lovely.

I'd like the ritz crackers with the cheese in the middle back.

AliTheMinx · 05/06/2025 18:04

Spira - the best!

I always think of Pacers if I ever see Celtic play footie on TV. They were a good sweet!

Mapletreelane · 05/06/2025 18:05

Palitoy Treehouse. My best ever Xmas present.

BashfulClam · 05/06/2025 18:06

Puffs crisps and the pig shaped ones that tasted of Smokey bacon.

ShrimpBoil · 05/06/2025 18:06

Chicken and bacon crispy pancakes and uncle Ben's teriyaki sauce in a jar. Also a weird but delicious thing where you got a spice paste to cook chicken with and a salad dressing shrink wrapped with it to make a warm salad - mid 90s I think. I cannot remember who made that, or find anything similar.
Also if you're from Ireland - fizzle sticks!
ETA oops that's more than one!

FanofLeaves · 05/06/2025 18:07

I know they still do Pepperami but they’re not quite the same (used to be saltier?)
but their advert was funny. Think they got into trouble for it. It was a Peperami chasing a bloke down the street or something and at the end it said ‘Peperami, it’s a bit of an animal’ 🤣

Butterflyball · 05/06/2025 18:09

Romantica ice cream, only ever had for special occasions 😋

Edited

Loved the song in it 😆

Trios - although I am informed they still exist i can't find them anywhere.

notanothernamechangemother · 05/06/2025 18:11

Proper cadbury chocolate, not the palm oil rubbish we have now!
Gino genelli ice cream

pinkfoxcubs · 05/06/2025 18:12

Mirage Lemon ice cream / sorbet shell lolly , only remember it during one summer in the mid 90s but I think had one every day !

Meadowfinch · 05/06/2025 18:13

Me- the plain chocolate bounty.

My dbrother would bring back the original Flake advert. "Only the crumbliest flakiest chocolate....." accompanied by long legged dusky brunette.

Beryls · 05/06/2025 18:14

I've changed my mind as much as I love the ritz crackers with cheese in the middle I think I'd want to bring back the high street, all the good clothes shops we had! I used to love shopping in town in the 90s now you just have to trail round various soulless retail parks or travel to a massive indoor shopping centre.

I feel like in the 90s you could get everything you needed from the high street/town centre. Now they're just charity and vape shops, even B&M and home bargains have abandoned it for retail parks now.

Sorry @fanofleaves I was thinking of the 1986 Pepperami ad..really catchy song in it.

The village bobby, who could clip some lout round the ear without fear of being accused of being a violent bully, racist, homophobic, transphobic, LGBT etc. etc. phobic.

and, of course, PROPER liquorice Pontefract Cakes.
