Men of colour still benefit from male privilege, even though there are levels of privilege white men have access to that they don't.

Ditto white women.

LavenderHaze19 · 28/05/2025 17:50

It’s the constantly raping and/or murdering women for me.

Not all men of course. But every week, every year, in every country.

JHound · 28/05/2025 17:50

ItsBouqeeeet · 28/05/2025 09:00

This. Imagine the outrage if a man posted a similar thread about women?

I would think it was weird on a female forum.

I expect there are posts like what you suggest all the time on male forums.

JHound · 28/05/2025 17:52

User32459 · 28/05/2025 14:30

Yeah i'm sure the millions of white men who've been sent off to be cannon fodder in wars were checking their male privilege from the comfort of their trenches.

Or the men who stayed behind and were attacked by women with white feathers for not going.

Look around at all the street homeless most of it is men.

You don’t understand what white and or male privilege is and that’s ok.

It does NOT mean you will never experience difficulties in life.

I am sick of women being anti men just because they are men. They have a much more difficult time of it these days than women and deserve to be supported not slated

I am supportive of men supporting each other.

JHound · 28/05/2025 17:55

ChesterDrawz · 28/05/2025 15:18

Yes there are.

There really aren’t.

JHound · 28/05/2025 17:57

ItsBouqeeeet · 28/05/2025 15:33

So if there was a male forum with lots of women bashing, you'd be okay with that?

They exist.

I accept the exist and don’t go near them. But I don’t think you can just gender swap as misogyny kills and harms women everyday.

The same is not true in reverse.

JHound · 28/05/2025 17:58

So, 1 in 4 women have said "yep I've been raped" but there were no follow up questions? Like by who?

Like by the Office for National Statistics, the Home Office and the Crown Prosecution Service. That's where the 1 in 4 statistic comes from. Also, there were follow up questions, that's how we know that 1 in 2 rapes against women were carried out by their partner or former partner and that 6 in 7 rapes against women were carried out by someone known to them.

I believe there’s an entire internet subculture devoted to it. In fact a news alert has just popped up on my phone with news that the poster boy for said internet subculture will be charged in the UK with criminal offences such as rape, actual body harm and human trafficking.

I don’t know if any of the posters on this thread are facing criminal charges for raping, trafficking and assaulting men, but it seems unlikely.

Ahsheeit · 28/05/2025 18:41

Every year older I get, I discover that a so called "good guy" is just another led by his cock and self entitled.

So you're part of the issue.

Women abuse men too. You'll never get a true statistic as it's such a taboo.

Misandry is very much a thing!!

ItsBouqeeeet · 28/05/2025 15:26

But they are faced by men at the hands of women. Your denial of it makes you very naive.

No, it demonstrates I'm the opposite. Not nearly naive enough to be distracted by the smoke and mirrors used to veil problems with male behaviour by offering up 'bad' women to look at instead.

ifeelprettyorange · 28/05/2025 18:54

@AhsheeitI am sure there are some genuinely decent guys out there but I do agree there’s a lot of “good guys” who really aren’t.

I went on a few dates with one guy who made a big deal about women’s rights and how awful it was that men spoke about/treated women in a certain way… almost said as if he expected a round of applause for not being a chauvinistic pig.

However, as time went on it was clear that he and his mates were the type who expected a woman to be at home cleaning the house while they all went out and had their “lad” time.

It almost sounds like you're victim blaming men now for simply being men? Ridiculous.

Depends what they're trying to say. It's part and parcel of the MRA toolbox to vilify women and treat men like their victims.

Because a lot of men are victims. Not all but that's the same for women too.

This was very telling on the thread about macron. So many comments blaming him or minimising what happened.

ItsBouqeeeet · 28/05/2025 18:56

I've not victim blamed men or spoken about male victims at all. And nor do I wish to when I'm trying to have a conversation about male VAWG, which was my point in the first place. Male VAWG is a serious issue, and recognised as such, and I find it highly irritating when it's not possible to have a conversation about it without some man piping up trying to force the discussion to something that centres them.

Crime statistics and domestic abuse statistics including homicide, don't back that claim up. It's unfounded conjecture.

I'd agree if you were claiming that men are predominantly the victims of other men. There's hard evidence for that.

frozendaisy · 28/05/2025 19:24

Expectation

Their expectation of what think they deserve v their expectation of what they think they have to do

So you're saying males aren't abused by women?
