To have complained about today’s episode of Loose Women

My DH thinks IABU but I’m adamant this was inappropriate.

Loose Women had a ‘dummy’ of a man’s bottom on their show earlier and one of the presenters/guests inserted their finger where the sun doesn’t shine.

I was eating lunch at the time and found this extremely unbecoming for that time of the day.

I expect my complaint will fall on deaf ears, but it’s worth a go.

Aw the first one got deleted?

OP was out at a pub/club with a friend when a man came over. The man used to teacher her DC but not at the school they were now at. He made a comment about having fantasies about bending her over the desk. OP was horrified. Her friend went "excuse me?", they walked off and that was it. OP then stalked him online (she found his FB profile) and discovered he still taught at the same school. She complained to the school and they basically said "he's not on school property and you aren't a current parent so not our problem". OP didn't feel this was good enough so complained to the governors. She wanted an apology for how it was handled, not for what had actually been said.

It then turned into a 3 thread saga where she also stalked the Chair of Governors, got a suspiciously quick reply saying "we are sorry you felt it wasn't handled right" and ended up feeling vindicated and then proceeded to make lots of jokes about celebrating with champagne, going out for a meal, roleplaying with her husband...

Thrown into this was the 2nd thread where the poor teacher became a pedophile who thought about bending schoolgirls over, a rapist who sexually assaulted her and plenty of other misreading.

It was wild

And it seems OP now feels like a moral justice crusader, defending the world of her perceived wrongs

Amazing synopsis, thank you! I’m only sad I missed out on this one - I’m always looking for long, absolutely batshit threads to read while I’m on the treadmill!

I think OP is being slightly disingenuous. I’ve just looked up loose women on YouTube to see if they have a clip from today’s episode, and it looks like it was all male presenters (is that what they do sometimes on LW?) and there was a dr demonstrating a prostate exam. So it wasn’t giggling women poking around for a joke, it was a medical segment talking about what the prostate is and how the exam works

Edited

Sounds perfectly reasonable and health aware to me

No, I had an educational professional make an unsolicited sexual remark to me.

Ah, you're that poster.

Get a grip. Would you object to them showing how to check for lumps in the breast? You need to get a life.

Wow, sounds totally unhinged. Poor teacher. Imagine having to run off to tell on being hit on, as a grown adult!

OP's husband must be wondering what he got himself into.

Wondering if OP is the therapy lady who needs reminding paying. If not a name change, she needs it.

In keeping with that thread, OP'S DH will almost definitely suggest some role play as the doctor and a dummy

That man also deserves a medal

After a few smug glasses of Dom, op will be all tarted up in her nurses frock.
No way on earth could op lower herself to being bent over a desk. That will be dh role.

Occasionally catch a glimpse of Loose Women when we switch on at lunchtime but have never been tempted to sit down and watch a whole episode. We watch an episode of Pointless on iPlayer over lunch instead. Give me Alexander Armstrong any time.

Yuk! He gives me the creeps (and the ick). Funny how we are all different!

PointsSouth · 13/06/2025 13:18

@WithYou47

It's inappropriate! I've complained!

The piece was about the most commonly-diagnosed cancer in the UK, and why men don't seek help for it.

Give the normal tone of the show I assumed it was a sexual discussion and they were demonstrating a prostate massage for sexual
purposes.

Well, you assumed wrong, Why did you assume that?

Fifty percent of people agree with me!

They agree with your first post, which misrepresented the situation,

I don't care. My complaint stands...I've complained before, and I was right!

....so tiresome.

Saw the best description of LW on here many moons ago….

”Wilful ignorance on tramadol”

Sums it up perfectly [shrug]

This.

I cannot believe those idiots are still being given air time. Insisting on discussing serious matters (like rape for eg) with barely a brain cell between them.

'Wow, sounds totally unhinged. Poor teacher. Imagine having to run off to tell on being hit on, as a grown adult!'

Wow. Imagine being a grown adult and unable to identify misogyny and sexual harassment. Imbecile.
