To think forced starvation is just plain evil!

On the BBC today. The UN has condemned using man made starvation as a war tactic. Surely we can come to a general consensus that whatever you think about the conflict, Israel's actions here are just plain evil?

As I understood it, Hamas was raiding aid lorries - which would make sense as they'd need to feed their fighters. Releasing the hostages might help them garner more sympathy....

Allowing food and medical supplies through to Gaza and stopping the bombing might go a long way to “garnering more sympathy” for the Israelis.

That's awful, I hadn't heard heard that. Such a difficult thing to go through as a parent, you would give anything for your child but there is nothing you can do but watch them waste away. Just horrific, such an awful way to die.

But it was Israel who broke the ceasefire and prevented the release of hostages. As mentioned, the families of the hostages have accused Netanyahu of prolonging the war to gain land, putting the remaining hostages lives in danger.

There is nothing left to argue about. Israel is wiping out Gaza so Netanyahu retains support from extremists in his own country. He will go down in history as a warmongering mass murder who perpetrated a genocide for his own gain. There are so many complicit leaders who have not lifted a finger to stop him. We won't forget who they are.

The whole world can see everything this Israeli government is doing to innocent kids. And that’s despite the fact that Israel has been blowing up journalists at a rate never seen before.

None of the cry bully bullshit works any more. People aren’t stupid. Israel is not a tragic defenceless nation. It is a nuclear power with an iron dome protection system. It is protected endlessly by the US veto even when international law is being broken left right and centre and it is armed to the teeth by countries all over the world. Now it is in the hands of an extreme right wing government run by a crook and ministers who have openly declared genocidal intent.

I’d never query Israel’s right to exist. But let’s not pretend it’s engaged in an equal conflict right now !!

Thank God. I was getting really worried about those pictures of starving babies. So glad the news got it wrong and they are all fine, heading off to school with their packed lunch.

Imagine the uproar if someone here posted that the recently released American hostage looked well fed and cared for and all these reports of hostages being traumatised was just nonsense and how we shouldn't believe it???

Imagine one of us posting something that stupid and ridiculous??

Then go back and read the various posts on here about how the Palestinians look well fed with fresh haircuts and therevis no famine, its all rubbish...
