I thought this was just usual and everyone did that?

Why?

Tripadvisor101 · 10/05/2025 11:43

His choice. Seems a bit controlling.

EverythingsComingUpRoses · 10/05/2025 11:43

Never thought about taking watches off to change nappies?

Hobnobswantshernameback · 10/05/2025 11:43

Eh?

MrsSamR · 10/05/2025 11:43

Um no, my husband never did. What are you worried about happening? Him somehow scratching the baby with his wrist?

SunblockSue · 10/05/2025 11:44

Never done this! Why would you?

MoreChocPls · 10/05/2025 11:44

WTF?!

BlondiePortz · 10/05/2025 11:44

Why? And why are you boss anyway?

ChaChaChaChanges · 10/05/2025 11:44

Why on earth? Never took mine off. No issue at all.

UpJacksArseAndRoundTheCorner · 10/05/2025 11:44

Perhaps he doesn't have the time?

Octavia64 · 10/05/2025 11:45

Huh? Why?

Beeiappp · 10/05/2025 11:45

Because I worry he will get dirt on it! And then not be able to clean it off properly if we are out.

I stand corrected though, I’m obviously in the wrong here!!

Not normal and very, very weird. Are you expecting to get shit everywhere?

Uh no?! DH’s big metal diving watch was no more dangerous than my big diamond engagement ring but we never took them off. Brother in law who laboriously removed his wedding ring to wash his hands for every nappy change promptly lost it after about a week of the palaver.

you’re changing a nappy, not performing surgery.

@Scottishgirl85 no but obviously the position of the hand when wiping. I always take off jewellery.

@UpJacksArseAndRoundTheCorner 😂😂

Sorry, I'm on a 'wind-up' 😁

Bananafofana · 10/05/2025 11:47

To be fair I did keep a little nail brush by the sink to keep jewellery clean - but under the nails grosser from nappy changing

His choice - if you're worried about germs rather than watch somehow scratch ling your LO do you take your watch off when you use the bathroom?

Dollshousedolly · 10/05/2025 11:48

I always wear a watch during the day and never took it off while changing a nappy. I never got poo on it or my wrists, even during the worst of nappies.

@Flossingisforteeth no but it’s different with a different with a wriggling child
