I thought this was just usual and everyone did that?

If he’s getting shit all over his watch there’s something wrong with his nappy changing practice.
Or your baby.

If it's a shitty one..?! Unintended pun?!

He he… mayyyybe?😏

JohnTheRevelator · 10/05/2025 17:14

Well,if it's a poonami,I would so I didn't get poo on it.

Totallytoti · 10/05/2025 17:31

How weird of you op. Who even thinks like this.

Elektra1 · 10/05/2025 17:35

I’ve got 3 children and I never took my watch off to change their nappies. Why would you?

GustyBaloo · 10/05/2025 17:36

Initially I thought you were worried about the baby, now I realise you are worried about the watch 😂

BeachRide · 10/05/2025 18:00

Maybe for an 'armpit to knee' poonami. Otherwise, crack on

Shinealighty · 10/05/2025 13:05

I think people should be a bit kinder to the OP I think there is obviously something deeper going on and I hope that she (I’m assuming a she) is okay.

How patronising!

shellyleppard · 10/05/2025 19:05

Op if its a poonami then yes....normal nappy change then no 😊

elusiveemz · 10/05/2025 19:26

I'm confused.

I have four children (and three neices and nephews whose arses I've changed) and it never occurred to me to remove any jewellery while changing them.

I'm pretty sure I never got shite on my wrist either, tbh.

Elsvieta · 10/05/2025 20:00

Are you sure you want to be one of those women who appoint themselves Lead Parent and teach their DH that he isn't capable of making the smallest decisions about parenting his kids? And then moan that DH doesn't do as much as they do? Seriously, you don't.

Allmarbleslost · 10/05/2025 20:42

This place gets more batshit by the day

Lollipop81 · 11/05/2025 18:34

What have I just read? 🤣 just no 🤣

Single50something · 11/05/2025 18:41

Would never have even thought of it?!

starsinthedarksky · 11/05/2025 18:51

Beeiappp · 10/05/2025 11:46

@Scottishgirl85 no but obviously the position of the hand when wiping. I always take off jewellery.

For every nappy change!?

I work in a nursery and change up to 25 nappies in one go and I never take off my ring or watch?

Sapphireblueeyes · 11/05/2025 19:36

Say what!?! 🤨

Moobear1420 · 11/05/2025 19:42

"Bare below the elbow" is a healthcare term to prevent cross contamination in hospitals. As are rules on rings and jewellery. Do you take off rings and do a full surgical scrub between nappy changes? Very OTT. Handwashing is the only thing necessary. If you need to take off a watch to change a nappy, I think some education from the health visitor on nappy changing may be required

Thalia31 · 11/05/2025 20:51

Weird af

Nenas · 11/05/2025 20:54

He won't get shit on his watch changing the nappy. Even if he does, he could baby wipe it off. Shit is not nuclear waste. It's just shit and if you wipe it up, there's no problem. Try not to worry about this.

tillyandmilly · 11/05/2025 20:54

Eh? 🤣🤣🤣🤣

harmancc1 · 11/05/2025 21:26

It’s unhygienic

MaddestGranny · 11/05/2025 21:46

I am just imagining that your DH wears an expensive watch with an expanding-metal wristband. That, in the event of a poonami on his watch (did you see what I did there?), he may be unenthusiastic about having to dig out faecal matter from the innards of the wristband.
However, with a waterproof watch & water/rust-proof wristband, he could just dunk the whole thing in baby-bottle steriliser, which should do the trick.

AllProperTeaIsTheft · 11/05/2025 21:49

This takes micro-managing your partner to a whole new level.

Iceboy80 · 11/05/2025 22:40

What are you even on about, seriously, this is just weird!

Beeiappp · 12/05/2025 11:54

@starsinthedarksky don’t you wear gloves though?
