Chocolate she isn’t a fan of so hardly ever
Macdonald once a month if that.
crips often

ssd · 05/05/2025 22:33

Not often...

But me..too much🤦‍♀️

TheGreatPotato · 05/05/2025 22:34

Crisps: 4 x week
sweets or chocolate 2 x week
McDonald’s - once every 6-8 weeks

CheeseDreamsTonight · 05/05/2025 22:36

Every day, a little bit of chocolate. The rest every now and then.

ruralwanderer · 05/05/2025 22:36

Chocolate - a small amount most days.

Sweets - at birthday parties.

Crisps - once a week or less 🤷‍♀️ I don't tend to buy them unless they're on special offer and the kids are with me.

Mcdonalds - they've never had a McDonald's. They like a KFC as a treat, once or twice a year though.

Littletreefrog · 05/05/2025 22:37

Mine are teenagers.

They don't really ever have chocolate just as in a chocolate bar apart from Easter and a Christmas but probably have chocolate biscuits or similar around twice a week.

Sweets only at Christmas really or if they go to the cinema with friends or something we never buy them for in the house.

Crisps. Oldest one probably has one bag a day at work, youngest one probably 3 times a week ish. Normally at lunch on the weekend.

McDonald's. Oldest one buys his own when out with friends so I've no idea but probably more often than I would like. Youngest only when we get one as a family which is only really when travelling long distances on Motorways or when arriving back really late from sporting activities.

MereNoelle · 05/05/2025 22:37

My eldest doesn’t like sweets or McDonald’s (or other fast food) but has crisps and chocolate a couple of times a week.
Middle child would eat all those foods all day long if she was allowed, but obviously she’s not! She goes to the shop on the way home from school on a Friday and buys some sweets. McDonald’s maybe once a month. Chocolate and crisps a couple of times a week like the eldest.
Youngest is autistic and has ARFID. Won’t eat chocolate, crisps, sweets or chocolate. I wish he would, as then he’d maybe not be so underweight.

Peacepleaselouise · 05/05/2025 22:37

Crisps almost every day, chocolate once a week, macdonalds every month.

lifemakeover · 05/05/2025 22:40

Crisps (small multi pack sized bag) and a chocolate biscuit (like a penguin or a club) pretty much daily. Sweets maybe once a week. McDs or similar maybe once a month.

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 05/05/2025 22:40

During the school holidays - often 🙈

Otherwise I limit them x

Stickupherarse · 05/05/2025 22:41

Those who have them fairly regularly (seems to be chocolate and crisps the most, looking at replies here) do you buy them in the weekly shop and have them in the house and give them each time or just get them if out with the kids and they ask etc?

OP posts:
hellohellooo · 05/05/2025 22:42

Choc daily ( this needs to change big time)

Crisps once a week (Friday treat)

Mc Donald's never
And never will since they provided free food for the IDF

Justme2023123 · 05/05/2025 22:42

Crisps every week day and probably once at the weekend. Chocolate or sweets every day. McDonald's maybe twice a month with their dad, maybe once every 2 months with me.

Crisps in the weekly shop and go in packed lunches. Chocolate either from some sort of event (we still have loads of Easter eggs for example so they’ll have a bit of that a couple of times a week) or bought from the shop as a treat on an ad hoc basis.

Azdcgbjml · 05/05/2025 22:44

chocolate occasionally
sweets occasionally
crisps quite often, probably 4 to 6x a week
Mcdonalds rarely these days but there have been periods when it was more frequent as a quick stop before/after/between activities

NuffSaidSam · 05/05/2025 22:44

McDonald's - never afaik! But they do have pizza/burgers etc from other places.

Crisps - rarely, only if we're eating some and they want to share.

Chocolate/sweets - probably once a week.

Cake/biscuits - now and again.

Ice cream/lollies - a few times a week - this is their favourite treat and they'd take this over cake/chocolate/sweets!

Rainbow1235 · 05/05/2025 22:45

Too often 🤔. That’s me bein totaly honest . We reigning it in tho

Crisps in weekly shop.

CatherinedeBourgh · 05/05/2025 22:45

Chocolate every day. Sweets and macdonalds never, they don't like them. Crisps very infrequently, when I buy them they tend to get forgotten.

They are teens.

NeedSomeComfy · 05/05/2025 22:45

Chocolate - a couple of times a week.
Crisps/sweets - very rarely at home, but will at a party/picnic etc which happen almost every weekend.
Ice cream - at least once a week, especially in the summer.
McDonald's - never. (She does really like burgers but we do homemade or buy from better quality places).
(She's 5)

Awrite · 05/05/2025 22:46

Mine are now teens - school and uni.

The only thing on your list that I buy regularly is crisps.

They can spend their own money on whatever they like. No fillings as yet so I suspect they don't buy many sweets.

Bigfatsunandclouds · 05/05/2025 22:46

Crisps, probably most days with lunch. Chocolate, once or twice a week (more since Easter as they got loads of eggs). McDonald's probably once every 6 weeks. Buy crisps with shopping weekly, chocolate is generally as and when but like I said since Easter we have loads in the house.

Ddakji · 05/05/2025 22:46

Doesn’t it depend on age? DD is 15, she’s got her own money to buy whatever crap from the corner shop she likes.

But before she started secondary she rarely had sweets and chocolate was limited to rice cakes.

Even now she’s rarely had a McDonald’s (never with us) but she does like Nando’s!

Minimalistmamaoftwo · 05/05/2025 22:46

Sweets once a week, same with chocolate and crisps and then lollies a couple of times a week now it’s warm
McDonald’s about twice a year

Lollies and ice cream come on the weekly shop.

The other stuff (sweets, chocolate etc) tends to be gifted at Christmas/Easter/birthdays/party bags/Halloween etc and then they eat their way through it so we don't really every buy it as part of the weekly shop.

Crisps - sometimes the weekly shop, sometimes an impulse purchase.
