I know people will post silly things that irritate them but think seriously. What three things would you make completely illegal right now?
Here's mine:

1. The right to buy your council house
2. Owning more than one property.
3. Not keeping your cat contained in your own home. With hefty fines if it is caught killing any wildlife.

Depends how I'm feeling.

Setting the curriculum / special programs in school without parental oversight.

Lorrys in the middle lane
Boxing (do it in the street and get arrested, do it and call it sport is madness)
Leaving a dog alone all day

MN people should be kicked to the curb as soon as they earn more , another family needs it more etc.

You aren't owed a bungalow just because you're disabled. I'm buying a bungalow because it's in my area and budget range.

Yet ppl on here are saying you should be owed a house because you have living proof that you have had sex without contraception.

I don't think those people are owed a house either, for the record, I do think people should be prioritised for physical disabilities. I don't think its the states responsibility to fund other people's children.

Changing your name if you have any criminal convictions at all should be illegal, let alone changing gender identity

Tailgating - every car with a reversing camera should be able to take a picture of any car within 1 meter in fast moving traffic to get the licence plate and immediately get at minimum £200 fine

People not indicating or indicating incorrectly (particularly cameras on roundabouts) should have a point on the licence for dangerous and inconsiderate driving

1. council houses of any type unless you intend to buy it
2. Tax on second homes. You’ve already paid more than your fair share into the system to be able to afford it in the first place

Agree with your 3 OP with one modification that second homes are allowed once everyone is safely housed

Btw you don’t pay more than your fair share unless you send HMRC an extra cheque each year - those with more pay more is fair

Domestic Cats do a lot of damage to uk garden bird population, they need to wear bells to alert birds at least although that’s not always going to stop them

1. Smoking and vaping including WEED outside of your own home. I don’t want to walk behind a smoker / vaper & especially don’t want to smell skunk being smoked in the park or wafting from neighbours garden etc , smells like fox pee 🤢
2. noise pollution including phones without headphones, beeping car horn unless emergency, emergency sirens that are too loud in London / uk compared to other countries.
3. cruelty to animals including factory farming

I thought the weed situation was bad in London but I was recently in New York - my God!! It was everywhere! Such a stench.

The biggest danger to birds and hedgehogs is actually traffic so maybe we should ban all means of transportation?

I have chosen my three, but while prepping supper I remembered another one.

Restaurants who don’t cut the ends off carrots and beans but leave a little tail and leaf stump, carrot, or tails at either end, beans. Why do they do this? They have a kitchen full of sharp knives and veg prep chefs. Just do your job please.

My beans tonight were delicious, looked pretty and didn’t leave me with little bits of inedible green string on my plate. The tails went in the compost, where they belong.
