Who do you think of if I mention the song Vienna?

AIBU to think most people think of Ultravox if asked "Who sang Vienna?"
My DD reckons more people think of Billy Joel.(I didn't even know he had a much earlier single out called Vienna)
So my fellow Mumsnetters, tell me who you think of please?

I just asked a 52 year old...said Ultravox instantly
And a 22 year old, said Billy Joel instantly
And a 15 year old, who knew of no song of the name and didn't know who we were talking about at all.

All I could see before I clicked into the thread was 'the song Vi..' and I assumed Vindaloo. I don't know what this says about me.

But Vienna makes me think of 'Ohhhhhhh Viennnna' whoever that is by.

I've never heard the Billy Joel song (I'm not a fan) so definitely ultravox.

Billy Joel. It’s massively popular on TikTok. My 17 year old is obsessed with all of his songs ( and has a mouth organ!). By osmosis I think of Billy first. It’s a beautiful song as well.

And of course Midge Ure and Ultravox.

I love Billy Joel but his version of Vienna has completely passed me by. It means nothing to me.

Obviously Ultravox! I didn’t even know Billy Joel or anyone else had a song called Vienna. I’m 39 if that helps.
