Who do you think of if I mention the song Vienna?

AIBU to think most people think of Ultravox if asked "Who sang Vienna?"
My DD reckons more people think of Billy Joel.(I didn't even know he had a much earlier single out called Vienna)
So my fellow Mumsnetters, tell me who you think of please?

The Billy Joel Vienna was released before the Ultravox one, so it's not as simple as age.

Thanks all, I feel vindicated. For info I'm late 50s and DD is 24. Most of her mates say Billy Joel, so it is obviously a generational thing fuelled by Tiktok.
Yes, bloody Joe Dolce kept them off No 1 spot, though they were not bothered about John Lennon having a posthumous No 1.

He hasn't. His album The Stranger includes a song called Vienna that is different to Ultravox's. Billy Joel's came first and is known by many now thanks to it being popular on TikTok.

I think most people, at least in the UK, would think of the Ultravox song, but the Billy Joel one is miles better!

Ultravox. I’d never heard of the Billy Joel track. Just listened to it and it’s middle of the road schmaltz to my ears 🤷🏻‍♀️ But then I’ve never been a fan of his - he was considered really cheesy mum and dad music by most ‘80s teens 😂 I guess this shows the power of TikTok, that all the young uns are more familiar a 1977 B-side than those of us who were alive then!
