Yes I knew what you meant. But a lot of people get very confused about the difference between gender and sex. Not least because certain groups like to confuse the issue because it suits their agenda to make what is something actually very simple, and fixed, appear not to be.
Gender is a social construct, you can call yourself any gender or gender variant you want, but it doesn’t change your sex.
Sex is biological, fixed at conception, we are mammals so for us ( like the overwhelming majority of life forms on our planet) sex is binary, you are either male or female. Ask Professor Lord Robert Winston, he is very clear about this!
So I think it is important to be very clear what is meant when the words gender and sex are used descriptively, they are not interchangeable.
( The nonsense about “intersex” needs mentioning too, when people with indeterminate external genitalia (DSD) are examined on a cellular level they are found to have XX or XY chromosomes. If there is a Y in the mix then however much you might not want to be , you are biologically male. There are a whole heap of chromosomal differences, many of which are extremely rare, but by and large this is the way it works. )
