What threads do you always hide?

If any!

If I scroll through and see anyone ask about accountancy help, HMRC advice, tax return, accounts etc I just hide them. I can't stand seeing 90% of the "advice" on those threads being absolute bollocks.

I used to hide the divorce ones when I was going through mine, I didn't want extra headspace going into it.

So what is it?

It's the regular posters. Apologies if that wasn't obvious.

And what about them?

Laws or societal norms will not stop determined abusers and harassers. Abuse and harassment are already illegal.
I've not seen any evidence to suggest that trans women have an unfair advantage in sports.
People can and have changed sex, whether you like it or not, makes no difference.

People cannot and have not changed sex. Out of interest, have you seen this morning's ruling by the Supreme Court? In case you haven't, it has confirmed that in the Equalities Act, 'women' means biological women and sex means biological sex. The full ruling includes being able to exclude male-born people from women's spaces, lesbian groups and women's sports. Well done, For Women Scotland!

JHound · 16/04/2025 13:46

The Trans Obsessives appear to be turning this into a thread people want to hide 😂

To still bang on about ‘trans obsessives’ and not grasp that it’s a male issue (despite being explained to you, repeatedly), I’d highly recommend you hide it yourself.

AccidentallyWesAnderson · 16/04/2025 13:54

And to reiterate, well done For Women Scotland! 😁

Or how about y’all take this back to your anti trans “FWR” corner and we can continue the discussion as posed in the OP?

As has been explained to you ad nauseam - biology is not “basic”. Like most things to do with the actual, empirical world, there is nothing remotely basic about it if you care to educate yourself.

Annnnnyyyyyyywayyyyy

Hey, how about you stop derailing @Acc0untant‘s thread and go make your own about the subject you’re interested in arguing about?

Yes. Would be happy to share my thoughts on it on the appropriate thread.

'Underage daughter having consensual sex with similar aged or slightly older BF' because it always leads to posters who have no idea about UK laws but watch a lot of American TV shows yelling 'it's statutory rape'.

Unpopular opinion threads- nearly always turn into a shit-show.

Anything with narcissist in the title because I can't bear the armchair psychology and ridiculous claims presented as fact.

Anything to do with recently missing persons. The Nicola Bulley and Jay Slater threads were appalling conspiracy theories and armchair detectives.

Anything to do with recently murdered people where a suspect hasn't been arrested yet. Because of the same reasons for missing persons threads.

The last two cause extreme distress for family members and friends in addition to being ridiculous.

Quite the victory for biological reality isn't it?

Very weird.

An offhand comment like ' bet the husband did it' I can understand even if it is terrible if a husband is innocent.

But when posters are so weird looking at maps of areas and tide times, amateur analysing body language of family members on the news and coming up with elaborate theories based on f-all other than the excitement of thinking they're almost a detective or a criminal psychologist - it gets increasingly bizarre.

And is increasingly common with the popularity of true-crime TV, YouTubers and podcasts.

I’d ask you what you mean by this curious, ideological statement but I don’t think the majority on this thread care to hear it.

Take it elsewhere.

Only you could decide that biological fact is 'ideology'

Back to the thread title, i don't hide them, but i get frustrated by the 'am i pregnant' threads. Randomers on the internet are not going to be able to tell you that.

Yes, the obsessive pregnancy testing is really unhealthy.
