A bit grossed out by something my BF of about 4 months did last night. We have a really jokey relationship but I think he crossed the line.

We were being intimate and he let out a really exaggerated fart then burst out laughing. He obviously meant to do it and thought I’d find it funny. I stopped what we were doing as the mood was gone and it stunk. He said sorry after but I feel like even with a jokey relationship, that’s going too far?

I am a farter and don’t really care if someone farts in front of me…but even I would draw the line at deliberately farting during sex! That’s not funny at all!

As a side note: if it was a genuine accident it wouldn’t bother me, but forcing one out and laughing would kill any passion dead!

It seems like it could be fairly normal/natural in the context of your relationship if he'd done it by accident or hadn't ben able to help it and then made a joke to ease any embarrassment. But you say he actually farted intentionally? If you're sure about that then yeah, I'd not be impressed at all. There's a time and place for twelve year old boy mode, and during sex is usually not it.

I don't mind farting in general but farting like that in the middle of sex is rank and defo off putting.
