Paying for own birthday meal

So it’s my fiancé’s birthday tomorrow. His 3 adult children don’t pay anything towards birthday dinner, instead he pays for it…I’m paying for it tomorrow as I refuse to let him pay for his own birthday meal, he does it every year. It gives me the hump that he pays for everyone to eat on his birthday (his youngest child is 22), am I being silly or is my thought process valid?

Three adults still living at home ….tbh it sounds awful, they should have moved out ages ago 😖 I wouldn’t have moved in with that set up in the first place. None of this sounds healthy. The idea of living at home at 29 fills me with horror. I can see both sides, you want them to leave because they should have by now, and it’s making you resentful and fed up, but they’re his children and he’s clearly an excellent dad whose got great relationships with them (but needs to cut the apron strings) - it’s definitely about more than the takeaway. I wouldn’t get married until you’ve ironed all of this out.
