YANBU unless you can afford it.

outside1inside · 03/04/2025 21:14

Deliveries would cost me a fortune if I didn't have prime. No yanbu

xanthomelana · 03/04/2025 21:15

I think you need to elaborate more as to why.

TheCurious0range · 03/04/2025 21:16

Surely it's a choice. You use it or you don't. Like any other product or service.

laloue · 03/04/2025 21:16

i’d love to know how you found the right links - I have been trying for weeks and going round in circles. Do tell 😊

Based on what exactly ? 🤷‍♂️

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 03/04/2025 21:17

nope yanbu, I can’t believe I still pay, in fact I may cancel now.

Butchyrestingface · 03/04/2025 21:17

YABU.

That's it.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 03/04/2025 21:19

I keep it for deliveries but if it was just for streaming Prime TV I would absolutely cancel

Everysand · 03/04/2025 21:19

Well, if you don't use it then is wise to cancel, I use mine a lot so keep it.

UnctuousUnicorns · 03/04/2025 21:19

We're sticking with it, thanks. 👍But you do you. Nothing to debate. 🙂

Everysand · 03/04/2025 21:20

I sometimes cancel Netflix if there is nothing on I want to watch

thistimelastweek · 03/04/2025 21:20

I'm with you OP

And with a bit of research, we've found alternatives that have actually saved money.

bridgetreilly · 03/04/2025 21:21

I never pay, but fairly often they give me a free week or month, so I watch anything I want then. Usually you can get free delivery anyway, just not next day or same day.

BatchCookBabe · 03/04/2025 21:21

Thanks for letting us know. We'll all sleep better tonight now we know that. 👏

It's American owned.

Any good UK owned options?

Any good UK owned options?

Shop directly from the merchants and not a rentier platform.

xanthomelana · 03/04/2025 21:26

Nonsensesponsence · 03/04/2025 21:21

YABU. Amazon employs over 75,000 people in the UK making it a top private sector employer. Amazon hasn’t put tariffs on anyone so their UK staff don’t need to be punished.

Starlightstarbright4 · 03/04/2025 21:28

You need to boycott all these too then

It's American owned.

I can see the US quaking in their boots because you cancelled Amazon. And it is owned by shareholders - some of whom are US citizens or companies and others aren't. As a multinational, you do realise that if everyone follows your example over 75,000 UK citizens directly employed by Amazon will lose their jobs, and many more who are in the supply chain. They are one of the UK's top 10 private sector employers. They may not be perfect - but anywhere else you go will have at least the same flaws and maybe more, and it won't make a jot of difference to the USA.

B1indEye · 03/04/2025 21:33

Are you under the impression that having Amazon Prime is compulsory? Why do you need to ask the internet, you know youre allowed to make your own decisions for whatever reason you choose?

ilovesooty · 03/04/2025 21:34

Please yourself. Why do you need validation from posters on here?
