To wonder what happened to these old Mumsnetters?

There was Kewcumber who adopted from abroad as a single lady, there was a mum who always talked about her son Wilf, and there was a very direct, blunt and often right woman who I think wrote with no punctuation, who seemed to be on every thread and gave me lots of harsh truths! Going back a good decade now…

Anyone know what happened to them? Anyone else you wonder about?

Wilf’s mother posted the other day - possibly pretending to be him, or else it was Wilf using her account.
Bluntness disappeared.

@Kewcumber is still about, or was recently, on the adoption board., I think. Wilf’s mother too (and Wilf, I think).

I often wonder what happened to BuffytheReasonableFeminist. Her posts on FWR were great, always going off into interesting tangents.

I bet Scottishmummy was also Joinerwife/Alwaysright on Babycentre. There were posts about moving over to Mumsnet. She was a nurse irl.

I expect some have left or been banned. Some of them will still be here.

I do wonder what proportion of regular users are part of the old lot.

I remember when threads would just become catch ups between users.

I'm still friends with Kewcumber - she's doing well and that little baby is now a handsome young man. Some of us from ye older days are still here but under new names.

Another queen bee thread. It’s been af least a week since the last one.

I think a lot of people thought Wilfs mum was exploiting him as he was vulnerable.

Some of the others were just rude.

That is amazing to think. But not sure why it surprises me my own are in their 20s. I recall Kewcumber having a webpage with the story. Of their first meeting.
