AIBU to think it's a bit of a glaring omission?

Nothing on Twix today except something about Ramadan, and an RT about Myanmar.

Lots of upset on there about him ignoring Lent too.

It's probably too late to expect anything now.

What's his objective here? It feels so... deliberate. And bizarre.

Fully expecting some to accuse me of dog whistling. But I'd still be interested in why they think he's done it.

In this view, the Dunning–Kruger effect is the thesis that those who are incompetent in a given area tend to be ignorant of their incompetence, i.e., they lack the metacognitive ability to become aware of their incompetence. This definition lends itself to a simple explanation of the effect: incompetence often includes being unable to tell the difference between competence and incompetence. For this reason, it is difficult for the incompetent to recognize their incompetence

'Edit: saying that someone with the academic and professional background Starmer has isn’t ’the brightest spark’ is a bit odd.'

I don't doubt his academic qualifications I just mean from a comms/pr point of view.

That’s not what you said. It might be an idea to be more accurate with your communication when criticising someone else’s communication.

'It's fine to dislike him and his politics but to imply that he isn't intelligent or well qualified is ridiculous.'

I've just said I don't doubt his qualifications I'm talking about his media appearances, sm posts, comms etc. All the stuff that should be impressive and slick. He just isn't.

While I think in the modern age comms are important, and I agree overall (not this specific instance) Labour hasn’t been great at it I don’t really want ‘slick’. For me that becomes almost a synonym for ‘glib’. I want serious politicians and I do t are much if their social media is patchy. To reiterate - not in this instance. It wasn’t patchy, or incompetent, or sexist in this instance.

Where’s the lack of clarity?
And consistency isn’t the same as ‘doing exactly the same everywhere’.

@DangerQuakeRhinoSnake @Pinepeak2434
My god you two need to get off social media and find some kind of life. A disgrace?
Jesus wept.

You first dear. Get off social media and stop telling strangers that and deserve to be loved.
