He will apply from today 25% surcharge on energy to the 3 US states they supply. Means around 100 dollars per month per family in those states.

Trump is a buffoon as well as a bully and people will not tolerate his actions.

Nobody has been imprisoned in Britain for social media posts, apart from the ones who incited riots and the burning of hotels full of people.

I think a cup of coffee makes Trump change his mind. He's either very stupid and understands nothing, or someone very clever is making a lot of money from short selling (Musk) and benefitting from the fear chaos and distraction (Putin).

Aluminum wise; the USA has only a couple aging smelters. Alcoa is struggling to keep them viable due to the cost of electricity. All are in need of upgrading. Currently there is no market appetite to invest in these older plants. The USA would need to agree to power them at 1/3 the current electric cost. They equally need aluminum for military purposes and domestic use. Investment wise, globally there are only a tiny handful of companies buy it from Canada or Australia it’s the same company.

Oh and upgrading a plant takes up to 10 years.
Meanwhile in Nova Scotia we have a shiny new nuclear sub to check out in our harbour. Canada is shopping for three, a few years ago the USA blocked our attempts to buy military subs. Threatened France and ?? If they sold us any.
They complain about our lack of spending but block upgrades and purchases. I’m hating the country more and more by the minute.

So bad enough what he's saying about Canada, but Trump is now stating they will get Greenland. This is not about putting economic pressure on Denmark to give it to them. This is a threat of military invasion of Greenland. Trump wants his Hitler/Poland moment.

@RedHot2025 they did at significant personal cost but then got screwed over by the Scottish government as well. Easy to stand up to him when you are a big company. BBC Sounds podcast Trumped is worth a listen if you want to know what Trump is capable of and what he will stoop to (threats, intimidation, insults, violence, false claims etc) in order to get what he wants.

I'm going for the moron, who doesn't have the slightest comprehension, based on his epic fail of bankrupting two casinos. His acolytes are in the background, rubbing their hands and cackling with glee, as they count their piles of gold from shorting companies devastated by his idiocy.

I'm sure that they are helping his investments along the way, to massage his fragile, galaxy sized ego, to tell him how clever he's been.

Rumour has it that Carney is calling the election on Sunday. Not sure I would be off to Europe on a jolly if that were true. Unless he’s giving us 50 days and not the minimum 36, so there is a bit more time to get everything done and avoid advance polls over Easter weekend.
