Headteacher attacked teacher with a spanner in front of students

This was at my child's school. I am so shocked that a headteacher would do this in front of students

Yikes. He emailed the other teachers to apologize before he did it?! Horrible.

Why does she need to be trying to "help anyone?" It happened at her child's school, maybe she is feeling unsettled about it and fancied a chat? That is what MN is for. The case is in the public domain, it's not a secret.

At 2 of my kids primary schools their were senior teachers (a headteacher in kne and deputy in the other) sacked for having indecent images of children on their computers..then in my sons special independent asd school a p.e teacher got fired for being a paedophile..they are bloody everywhere these awful people

How awful for his own children to not only lose their father whilst he is jailed but also to learn he was cheating on their mother and involved with a woman from work who was also involved with another man at work!

What a sordid mess of his own making and I hope he gets a lengthy prison sentence.

The article also says that it's hoped that investigations can continue without speculation. Putting it on a discussion board will surely encourage speculation.

I hope your child, and the other pupils can talk to someone about this if they are disturbed by what they saw.

There's no suggestion that this man is a paedophile.

The judge didn't impose reporting restrictions and the case is in the national press @ilovesooty, so avoiding speculation is clearly a vain hope 🤷🏻‍♀️

People have the right to discuss current affairs, news stories and events that touch their own lives. We even have discussion forums designed to facilitate that very thing.

News articles are discussed on MN all the time. There are no reporting restrictions and he's pleaded guilty.

Why does the OP have to be helping anyone? It's a shocking thing that happened at her kids' school. It's natural to want to discuss it, surely.

My friend is a teacher and was assaulted by a deputy head. I don’t think there were students around though. Our schools are going batshit crazy, students are bullying students and teachers are scapegoating and bullying each other. Homeschool all the way
