Give it a rest.

CarrieOnComplaining · 08/03/2025 00:41

God, how awful.

Shocking for all staff and students. And everyone involved.

Oh come on.

What is with the silly contrariness?

The female teacher is going to find it very difficult to keep her job isn't she??

Because two pathetic men were fighting over her?

She might have had no interest in either of them.

It's news, I don't see the issue.

Ritasueandbobtoo9 · 08/03/2025 02:47

I would be really shocked by this and like to chat it through as well. There are no winners in this. Was it out of the blue in the sense of being a gentle person to this point? I hope the head injuries resolve, head injuries can be so hard to overcome.

LindorDoubleChoc · 08/03/2025 03:41

It's an absolutely shocking pre-meditated crime! He armed himself and sent an email apologising to colleagues in advance, then carried out an attempted murder in front of witnesses. I feel so sorry for his wife and children (and his victim naturally). I'm sure it will take all who witnessed it a long time to get over it too.

Do better then. Control your anger and look for non violent solutions for your personal issues 🙄

I agree it’s especially awful in front of children.

Why is a woman blamed for violent men?

I speculate that the female teacher turned down the deranged headteacher.

I further speculate that the deranged headteacher then got mad when she started dating the deputy head.

This was at my child's school. I am so shocked that a headteacher would do this in front of students

Apologies for the Dailyfail link: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14472907/headteacher-admits-attacking-deputy-spanner-pupils.html

OP I am so sorry your kids have had to live through that. No children should be subjected to that - especially in person right in front of them.

There are some really worrying things here. Presumably this head has some kind of mental health issues or breakdown ? It is really concerning that he just brought the spanner into the school. It could have been something much worse. What safeguards does the school have in place?

Hope all the kids are ok. What an awful thing to see. Must have been terrifying for them.

Because two pathetic men were fighting over her?

She might have had no interest in either of them.

Even if she did date either or both of them, that can't make her lose her job!

It's 2025, when will we stop blaming women for violent men's crimes.

You can't fire someone because you disapprove of her private affairs.

Presumably talking about it might help her. Common reason for people to want to talk about traumatic events that have happened in their vicinity. Unless you were just trying to shame her, in which case sorry for interrupting you, I guess. In which case, how does your post help anyone?

Why are some people being weird?

Why shouldn't the OP post about it? 😳

Self-righteous, pious, sticking the boot in, shaming? Your guess is as good as mine.

ilovesooty · 07/03/2025 23:20

The article also says that it's hoped that investigations can continue without speculation. Putting it on a discussion board will surely encourage speculation.

Not half as much as reporting it in a tabloid will.

FFS. Do you say things like that in real life? As someone’s talking about something horrible that’s happened, you pick up on a really small part of their grammar and shame them about it? I bet everyone rushes to ask you for your advice and sympathy. Or do you just do it on here?

ThatDoesntWorkForMe · 08/03/2025 06:09

Bluh · 07/03/2025 23:14

@chocmalt he's going away for a long time. I’m not sure he has future prospects. Op just wanted the ‘thrill’ of being connected to some drama.

or maybe she’s his wife.

Or, she just wants to talk about something shocking that happened. But I guess maybe you get a ‘thrill’ out of shaming her?

SALaw · 08/03/2025 06:18

@3tumsnot1 why presume the head had a breakdown of mental health problems? History all the way up to today is full of men committing acts of violence on or about women particularly where they feel snubbed etc.

LividBoop · 08/03/2025 06:19

This story is horrendous (ignore the first few posters ffs) and I can’t believe it’s not bigger news.

I’m a teacher and somehow the fact he did it in front of students is just horrifying. Sounds like he meant to kill him too.

Men. So done with entitled men.

And hope your dc are going to get some counselling, op. Going to be hard for all those students and staff now.

oakleaffy · 08/03/2025 06:28

What a vile man.
Premeditated attack, too.

No wonder schools are in a state...Rotten from the Head down.
