Does the emoji in your post indicate that you think you're funny? Or that threats of violence are funny? Your teachers had a lucky escape

they obviously didn’t have a lucky escape 🤨 Weird thing to say

Fleetheart · 08/03/2025 07:42

Bluh · 07/03/2025 23:14

@chocmalt he's going away for a long time. I’m not sure he has future prospects. Op just wanted the ‘thrill’ of being connected to some drama.

or maybe she’s his wife.

so nasty- why do you feel like you have to be like this

Have you misunderstood me? The teachers of the PP no longer have to be exposed to someone who wanted to see them violently attacked, who knows what that person is capable of

Fleetheart · 08/03/2025 07:43

some very weird responses on here. I agree, why shouldn’t OP post about what is a very unsettling thing to happen.

March25 · 08/03/2025 07:46

The woman use to be taught by the head teacher too

Well presumably she was capable of nothing, unless she now pops up to say she actually punched her maths teacher in the head.

saying something on reflection in retrospect doesn’t mean there was any chance of doing it at the time. And plenty of people have school related trauma

PenneyFouryourthoughts · 08/03/2025 07:50

This will be talked about for weeks and go down in school legend.

Westfacing · 08/03/2025 07:51

AquaPeer · 08/03/2025 07:28

What a weird bunch of nasty responses. Makes the posters sound quite stupid too.

i do think it probably isn’t bigger news because the victim wasn’t badly injured. I wonder who stopped him? Other teachers maybe. What a traumatic event

The article says 'serious head injuries'.

Channellingsophistication · 08/03/2025 07:54

How horrendous for the pupils hope they get some good support. How awful for his wife and children. Truly shocking.

I’m no man hater, but really what is wrong with men? So many of them are utterly deranged.

PreventPomtoPerson · 08/03/2025 07:56

And these are the people we are trusting with our children. Surprised they had any time to teach in between all the shagging and fighting. Disgraceful behaviour.

Westfacing · 08/03/2025 07:51

I know? I read it.

serious assaults rarely make national news, and the comparison to Kyle Clifford was a comparison with a man who murdered 3 women.

People or men?

People

EvansHal · 08/03/2025 08:02

Bluh · 07/03/2025 23:06

People or men?

Men and women.

Locally, and recent, two female teachers convicted of sex offences against children. Two separate incidents.

SallyWD · 08/03/2025 08:02

The first few posters are being a bit odd. Why wouldn't you post it? People talk about all sorts of things on Mumsnet. It's natural you'd want to talk about this as it happened at your school.
Shocking behaviour from the Head!!

maybe she’s still in shock that it happened at her school? This is a discussion forum for parents? Weird reply…

And every day teachers experience threatened or actual violence. It's not funny.

mellongoose · 08/03/2025 08:14

There are so many teachers on MN and they often take strange twists and turns in order to defend each other and make sure they never do anything wrong.

This is indefensible and the OP has every right to post.

Totally unacceptable behaviour and chilling. It should be highlighted.

CaptainMyCaptain · 08/03/2025 08:16

Not one single person has defended that Head Teacher. Teachers on MN are more likely to have been on the receiving end of violence like the woman who was attacked.

TheWombatleague · 08/03/2025 08:18

ilovesooty · 07/03/2025 23:20

The article also says that it's hoped that investigations can continue without speculation. Putting it on a discussion board will surely encourage speculation.

Publishing it in the Daily Heil probably hasn't helped.

Mayhem01 · 08/03/2025 08:24

Very shocking. I can’t believe he emailed the staff more or less telling them he was going to attack a teacher.

When I first read that a man had been assaulted on the school site, I assumed it was an intruder or an angry parent, not an attack by a headteacher.

I am a teacher in Wales and once we had an angry parent on site incident with an attack on the head which fortunately is very rare but this is unbelievable.

No idea why there are so many snooty replies.

Justgorgeous · 08/03/2025 08:25

Katemax82 · 07/03/2025 23:08

Men..I mean there's people who do awful things everywhere it seems..I just hope it doesn't happen in my daughters secondary school

What we all hope for is for this not to happen anywhere.

Dery · 08/03/2025 08:25

@Sarnpark - not RTFT but it’s no wonder you’re feeling very shocked and disturbed that a man capable of behaving like this was running your children’s school.

Is it meant to help anyone? Surely it’s just a discussion of the incident?
