so I'm in no way, shape or form "woo" buuutttt just been sitting on side of my bed texting on my phone and my soundbar for TV (which I've had for 4 years with no issues) just decided to launch itself onto the floor, has hit my foot and cut it, picked it back up thinking how weird 🤷🤷 went back to my phone and a bottle of water, tube of face cream and a lip balm on top of my chest of drawers then launched themselves across the room, pretty freaked out by this point but still being rational in my head, picked phone back up carried on messaging back a friend, looked up to think what I was trying to type and felt a big tap /slap and literally saw my phone fly in the air and land other side of room, trying hard to think rationally but feeling pretty spooked right now
😭there's a rational reason for all this, yes???

I would simply take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.

😂👌🏼

BottomWibblyWob · 09/02/2025 20:27

Maybe that’s why they’ve targeted you 😕 jk

How are your foundations?

haha possibly😂😂 ermm sound I think from last survey, I mean we haven't foundations on some sort of ancient burial ground or anything, 1950's house

If it's been quiet for 15 years could the haunting be trying to alert your attention to something important maybe?

Have you left your hair straighteners on?

PoltergeistsStartLowKey · 09/02/2025 20:36

Say my name. Say my name : )

Is your (or a neighbour's) washing machine on, or something similar that might be causing a bit of vibration?

detached so I'd be surprised

Hahaha, trying to think what I might have left on now🤔🤔😂

Can you start filming the room with your phone and see if you capture anything else happening?

StMarie4me · 09/02/2025 20:39

Poltergeist energy. I witnessed the same in my brother's bedroom as a child. Suitcases flying round the room. Records being flung around.

Mummyoflittledragon · 09/02/2025 20:40

It’s happening before your eyes. What’s not to believe?

Tacsi · 09/02/2025 20:26

I'm an atheist, sooooo😕😕

You could get a local group of spiritualists to help you clear it. They are either non religious or attend their spiritualist church.

If you want to have a go yourself, there is a 'spell' on YourGhostStories by a member called Rook Dygin (if memory serves). It works really well. You sweep and sage and sweep and sage and then put salt at the door and window frames for a few days to keep it out. You can also demand it leaves as you want peace in your own home.

failingrocks · 09/02/2025 20:41

It’s because of the OP in another post today not putting the huge old bible she found, back in its hiding space. Too late now.

Cantbelieveit888 · 09/02/2025 20:41

Who and what were you trying to text? Maybe they were trying to tell you something?!

freaky

DoBeGoodDontBeBad · 09/02/2025 20:42

You say you were texting when it happened, was it a controversial text? Is there something afoot that the haunting is trying to warn you about?

Perhaps the haunting thinks the person you are texting is going to cause you some sort of harm?

ShowOfHands · 09/02/2025 20:42

Something woo is the very last thing I'd consider but MN will respond with cries of exorcism and move out.

Thirteenblackcat · 09/02/2025 20:43

Ermm very localised earthquake?!

Emmie765 · 09/02/2025 20:43

I absolutely believe in spirits, there is so much about the world we don't understand, so I see no reason why they couldn't remain here somehow. There was a really scary presence in our old house. When my dad died, it went away. Surely that's not a coincidence. Anyway, apart from me obviously being mad - some advice! Try talking out loud and asking what's wrong? Why do you need my attention? Can I help you? Even if you don't believe in the actual spirit, talking out loud can make you feel more in control and therefore safer! Fingers crossed your new friend pops next door instead 😂

IcyColdDay · 09/02/2025 20:43

Carbon monoxide poisoning?

OhMyGollyGoshGosh · 09/02/2025 20:43
  1. Your soundbar launched itself onto the floor.
  2. A bottle of water, a tube of face cream and a lip balm launched themselves across the room.
  3. Your phone then 'literally flew in the air' and landed on the other side of the room.
  4. You felt a 'big tap/slap'.

I'd be looking at your local news and Facebook groups to see if anyone else had a similar experience with a vibration this huge.

If not, I think I'd book an appointment with my GP.

BuoyBoyBy · 09/02/2025 20:43

Have you seen the episode of breaking bad where they destroyed a laptop with incriminating evidence by driving by the police station in a truck with a ginormous magnet in the back.
Do you live near a police station?

Plggybacker · 09/02/2025 20:44

Good grief there's some nonsense suggestions on this thread. Whatever is going on, whether there's a scientific explanation or not, no amount of sage, priests or prayer circles is going to make a tiny bit of difference.

jacksonlambsregulardisorder · 09/02/2025 20:44

Have you got any sage you can burn/waft about the place?

PuddleintheOcean · 09/02/2025 20:44

I can't say I'm much of a believer in the paranormal or supernatural but I'm stuck coming up with many logical or likely explanations for your experience. Maybe extremely localised earth tremors

Small earthquake? Subsidence? Wind? Landslide ? Big lorry/motorbike passing by ?
