Does Trump just say whatever comes into his head?

I'm only partly joking. Does Trump script his speeches with the aid of an adviser, or do you think he is just winging it the whole time? I mean, SURELY there can't be anyone in his office who is telling him it's a good idea to suggest renaming the Gulf of Mexico, or to get Palestinian refugees rehomed in Egypt and Jordan as if they were fucking rescue pets? Surely there must be someone in there with even an ounce of intelligence and political nous? AIBU to think he must be either going off-script? It's almost satirical

Well most of the Israeli Jewish people are actually from all around the globe given that the state of Israel was founded in 1948… should they start going back to where they came from too?

In answer to OP question - yes I think he does. He wants to be the BIG swinging dick which means yelling out pronouncements and backing it up with force or threats. What. A.Man.

We're not allowed to go back to where we came from as that would mostly be various Middle Eastern countries, Northern Africa, the Palestinian territories or Israel, where we're apparently not welcome even though we've been there for thousands of years. We ended up in Europe because we were expelled from our actual home country. The country you're seemingly saying we shouldn't be in.

It's perfectly possible to be against Trump's racist policies without spouting racist policies of your own.

Re Gaza, this is what the BBC reports:

Describing Gaza as a "demolition site", Trump said: "You're talking about probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing". He added that the move "could be temporary" or "could be long-term".

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c07kpjyzgllo

That sounds very close to ethnic cleansing to me. Push everyone out and maybe don't let them back in ('could be long-term'). Trump might invest in the rebuilding of the area. It's in Israel's interests to settle its own people there and secure it. Brutal but logical.

Nobody is acting in the interests of the Palestinians. There's no benefit for Egypt or Jordan either.

You mean a bit like the ethnic cleansing that already took place in Gaza when they got rid of every single Jew there?

I'm all for a two state solution but at least acknowledge the hypocrisy if you're going to be accusing Israel of ethnic cleansing.

Where do most Israelis come from?

The Middle East or North Africa. HTH

There's no way anyone scripted the 'inject bleach to cure Covid' stuff during the first shitshow, that was all him.

Most Palestinians are originally from Egypt and Jordan so his statement actually has some historical context.

That's an oft repeated lie, most of the Palestinians are indigenous and those who aren't are from the border regions and part of the same ethnic group.

This was actually said about the Plantation of Ulster and is sometimes still repeated by more Jurassic Unionists. The Irish had left one of their provinces uninhabited, so it made sense for industrious English and Scots to put it to good use.

I think part of why people like him is he does speak from his heart, not a script. I didn’t vote for Trump but I think he speaks his truth, unlike most politicians who contradict themselves depending on the audience

that said, Palestinians were in the streets cheering 911. I understand Israel is no saint but I don’t want refugees here who might actually want to harm us. They are very bitter about Jews and Christians. Saudi is a rich country, surely they can take care of their own people

Serpentstooth · 07/03/2025 22:11

'He speaks from the heart' 😂

Americans clearly let him have carte blanche to say what he wants. He doesn't care. I can't believe there is a script writer for his nonsense.

Ah, but …Nile gardiner of daily wail knows he is biggly clever

Does Trump just say whatever comes into his head?

Starmer isn't much better ! Trump is at least funny to listen to and look at. Starmers face and pout he does argh can't look at him I hate his face

I hope you are not serious.

localnotail · 07/03/2025 22:42

I would imagine he has some kind of speech written for him but then he goes off on one about various weird shit that comes into his head. I think his agenda is clearly outlined by his puppeteers, but he is allowed to say whatever he wants on other subjects to muddy the water and to divert attention form the important stuff he is busily fucking up.

There is a theory he cannot read well which is why he goes off on tangents

He doesn't speak from the heart. He speaks from pure self interest. He loves flattery and will punish a whole country if he doesn't think their leader has been sufficiently deferential. He appeals to the worst kind of people.

As for speaking the truth, are you fucking kidding me? Fact checkers lose count of the lies and falsehoods in his speeches.

As for his plans for Gaza, he doesn't see the Palestinians as human beings. He loves Netanyahu as they are like two peas in a pod in relation to a lack of moral compass and staying in power to avoid corruption charges. He sees Gaza as a real estate opportunity suggested by his creepy son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Shame they didn't test it on Trump, it might have toned down the orange at least

He speaks from his arse, more like.

That's where his heart is. His bigly, enormous, McDonald's-clogged heart is located in his bigly, enormous, flabby white arse.

Not sure if autocues help - can he even read?
