Does Trump just say whatever comes into his head?

I'm only partly joking. Does Trump script his speeches with the aid of an adviser, or do you think he is just winging it the whole time? I mean, SURELY there can't be anyone in his office who is telling him it's a good idea to suggest renaming the Gulf of Mexico, or to get Palestinian refugees rehomed in Egypt and Jordan as if they were fucking rescue pets? Surely there must be someone in there with even an ounce of intelligence and political nous? AIBU to think he must be either going off-script? It's almost satirical

I don’t find him very likeable, but at least he has his country’s best interests at heart.

Fb People in future generations won’t believe it when we tell them about Trump. The world is burning and instead this sideshow

1 in 4 people in Jordan is already a refugee (from Syria), can't imagine they have capacity for many more.

RingoJuice · 27/01/2025 07:00

There is a very real (and solid) strategy here.

Trump made a full court press on a variety of issues at the same time. A sort of laundry list for a conservative like me. This includes:

  • Removal of birthright citizenship
  • Stay in Mexico
  • DEI out of federal government
  • Pulling out of Paris agreement
  • Ending EV subsidies
  • Ending wind farms on fed land
  • Pulling out of WHO
  • Only two sexes recognized
  • TIM prisoners in fed prison moved to male prisons
  • Fed workers must be in office and hiring freeze for most dept.
  • J6 prisoners pardoned
  • Ross Ulbricht freed
  • End to government censorship

Among other things. Media doesn’t know what to focus on because there’s so much all at once LOL so they latch on to literal dumb shit like ‘Gulf of America’ that is not important and lose focus on things like the repeal of DEI initiatives and the codification of two sexes, for example.

I for one am ecstatic at all the progress we’ve made in just one week. Never been happier with a president tbh

Most Palestinians are originally from Egypt and Jordan so his statement actually has some historical context.

Define " originally ".

I don't know why Americans love 80 year old men as presidents.

Therapists would have a field day analysing Americans.

It's like they want an extreme , old, father figure

That's true The vast country, all the Anerican dream guff and they can't come up with a better President.

Eventually one of the shooters won't miss.

Maybe they'll be Panamanian. Ukrainian, a Greenlander, Gazan. Another discontented republican.Who knows, but in a land with such lax arms controls making so many enemies isn't such a great idea.

But they’d just end up with JD Vance in charge. Is he any better? I do read he’s very intelligent and used to be more liberal. Of course Musk would probably still be wanting to pull the strings.

I think he's right about the Palestinians.

Why would it be wrong to move them when Palestine is being devastated by war.

When ukraine was attacked by Russia, Ukrainians were moved into other countries

Wow.
Ukrainians weren't all moved out permanently. Some women and children came to other countries temporarily while Putin started a war in Ukraine. Once the war is over they will return to their homeland.
What Trump is calling for is basically what Zionist Israel has been aiming to do for decades and amounts to ethnic cleansing.

Not everyone will be into this type of thing. But ill write it anyway .

I'm quite interested in spirituality and psychic mediums and people talking to the spirit world.

There's a website where a woman says that she can talk to spirit guides on the other side. She kind of channels them through writing.

Before the hilary Clinton and trump presidential contest, I went onto her website.

She asked the spirit guide who was going to win. They said "Donald trump will win. And it's because he has a certain skill. He is able to visualise himself very clearly in getting what he wants. Like he can visualise himself very clearly achieving anything that he wants".

The spirit guide also said that he wouldn't be bad for the country, that he would help to "clear out the swamp " of bad people as he is a strong personality.

The spirit guide also said that melania was a very highly evolved soul and came here to help him on his path

😂 highly evolved soul??? God help the rest of us 🙄

I’ve had this exact same thought. He says whatever pops into his head and the world goes into a massive flap trying to understand the implications.

Yes, this is why he does it. US has been a laughing stock under Biden’s government. He’s telling everyone there’s a new, unpredictable sheriff in town and to watch their step.

Ex Democrat, J D Vance, who strenuously criticised Trump previously and who probably only ended up on the Republican side because Dems were utterly out of control and driving the country over a cliff. Read his book, look into his background and his wife and family. He’s the best option for the US right now, they’re lucky to have him.

He has rich white men’s best interests at heart. It’s as simple as that. Money and power. He’s terrifying.

Because that’s ethnic cleansing.
’move’ then and Israel with prevent them from returning home. They will take over their land and let zionists build there.

“There’s a real and solid strategy here” , lol… Have come to the same conclusion as you, OP, he is led by his most basic emotions, and indulges his every mood, and just says and does whatever pops into his head…
He behaves like a toddler unable to grasp the basics of delayed gratification, and also like some sort of Alpha dog needing to mark his territory, doing the opposite of what other people have said when they have slightly irritated him, just to show who’s boss.
his niece knows him very well and has written at length about his toxic, narcissistic personality.
he very much isn’t led by a strategy to make his country great again. I disagree with him politically so I’m not sure it would be better from my point of view if he had a long strategic view on how to get there… But he is absolutely led by whims, which is pathological and genuinely scary.
Scaramucci on the podcast The Rest is History U.S. always gives great insights into his character. There’s a reason over the years he has kept on falling out with people who supported him and elected to work for him: he takes umbrage at dumb shit that most of us grew out of at age 13… Examples Scaramucci gave is that it’s not possible as a close staff member, to give him background information on any economic or geopolitical point (or anything really) without him getting offended at the thought you may have thought he was stupid for not knowing it. Taking offence at being given context… How is one supposed to work with someone like that? He also can’t forgive JD Vance for saying stuff in interviews (that he might otherwise agree with, or even come up with)
without running past him first, and will do the opposite to undermine him (such as pardoning all the j6 rioters as opposed to only the less violent ones). I know people like that, my dad was one of them; it’s probably difficult for some to comprehend that there are such immature twats around.
Thank you for starting this thread, OP. It’s going to be a long 4 years.

Which is why he’s so dangerous. He’s a insecure, emotionally damaged man with a lot to prove.
His ‘story’ was literally something he wrote himself - HIS version of events, where the plucky boy makes good. Take it all with a massive pinch of salt.

Hmm, you’d think the Dems would have used all that to completely discredit him when he was nominated for VPOTUS. If only they’d known to come to MN and speak to you 🤷🏼‍♀️

UnhappyAndYouKnowIt · 27/01/2025 08:23

Maybe the more important question should be; why doesn't Columbia want it's own citizens back?
What have these Columbian's done which makes them undesirable by their own government.

I'm guessing they are criminals, thugs, troublemakers which their country don't want to deal with and were hoping the US would just allow non-vetted illegal migrants to remain.

He wasn't saying that he didn't want them back, he was complaining about the manner in which it was done. He said that they were Colombian citizens and should be treated with dignity, and sent the presidential plane to assist with bringing home deportees. He later issued a statement saying that their borders are open to anyone who wants to come.

What an utterly bizarre comment. 😅 sorry if I offended a fan of the dolphin porn obsessed ( look it up) birth rate obsessed, immigrants munching on the pets obsessed, short arsed weirdo with a knack for saying the wrong thing ALL the time that is JD Vance
It really is just an opinion. Plenty of far right extremists think he really is the cats PJs…

My hot take is if you don't know how to spell the name of a country, your opinion on it can be safely disregarded

Yes he’s written a book called Hillbilly Elergy which is meant to be good. He also studied law at Yale so he must be bright especially considering his background

There's actually quite a lot of information about this, but as usual, if you're down a right wing information rabbit hole, you're not getting it. A Hollywood movie of an autobiography isn't much to judge on. The book, Hillbilly Elegy is largely true, with plenty of shadings at Vance's convenience. Interestingly, Vance is actually a beneficiary of plenty of the DEI programmes (in his case rural poverty) he so loathes.

His political views have done a rapid 180 since being bought a senate seat by Peter Thiel and becoming radicalised by Curtis Yarvin, among others.
