...murders.... that the reason these things happen is because people / immigrants are not being helped to integrate in our society and feel alienated. On Laura K show. Dear lord I'm sorry but that's ludicrous ... if I've misunderstood please help me out. Its really angered me !

It doesn’t matter how much you try and deflect by using individual examples as being unreasonable, the fact is that immigration is out of control. It’s too high and it’s bad for this country.

Trying to piss about around the edges with ‘yeah but, no but’ isn’t going to change the fact that it’s a huge problem.

Edited

A clear solution would be all the English that have taken over living in and ruining other countries come back here and all immigrants go back to their hone countries.

We are currently trying to get the swarm of English out of Spain, including tourists, they bring their backwards attitudes and behaviour and have no respect for the country. Everyone should stay in their own countries and not syphon off other countries either (but England would survive without stealing )

Does that mean we have to take the Musks back ?

You're advocating remigration?

Aww, you really think you did something there.

DID YOU READ THE BIT ABOUT MY MOTHER NOT BEING BORN HERE?

I have not misunderstood anything. I can spot racism a mile off.

Where you are born does not predict your social or political views, and does not make you a murderer. Nor does it make you more or less "integrated". Only an idiot thinks there is such a thing as a defining British-ness that people may or may not measure up to, regardless of where you are born. Am I integrated? Are you? There is no bloody measure of this and only the simple-minded, wherever they are born, could think so.

There is not a shred of evidence that these murders were committed because Axel was born here, or not born here. Attempting to link a truly horrendous crime to the unrelated issue of immigration is hypocritical rubbish. Kemi Badenoch may represent your "Britishness". She does not represent mine.

And just to be clear, are you seriously calling a Black woman racist?

"I can spot racism a mile off".....

EasternStandard · 26/01/2025 15:41

I think people, the judge, politicians, are trying to present the narrative that his autism had nothing to do with it. I think thats unhelpful and disingenuous . Its very likely that without that disorder his difficulties may have manifest in a different way, or not raised so much risk.

Tbh I find this unhelpful. This is just speculation

Is the suggestion that a black woman cannot be racist ?

Is that in and of itself racist ?

I was responding to someone who said that Kemi was racist for raising a difficult subject. This poster can apparently "spot racism a mile off".

I would like to know how Kemi speaking about immigration is racist?

@username299 I beg to differ. There have been several acts of terrorism by incels who don't seem to do much but read misogyny online. They're renowned for being social misfits. From what I've read about mass shooters, they're often bullied and isolated.

Lots of people are socially isolated, but yet incel attacks are extremely rare. It also needs to be emphasised that the Southport killings were completely different from any incel attack. In incel attacks, there is a clear motive and a defined target- for example, Elliot Rodger planned to attack a sorority which had the most attractive women. Rudakubana had a history of violence with no clear motive, and no reason for attacking the people he did.

Second, while a loner or misfit can be dangerous, there are many extremely dangerous people who are sociable and charming. Many psychopaths and sociopaths appear to be very charming at first.

If you need evidence of how dangerous sociable and charming people can be, just go and read the "Relationships" board on this website.

She also made it clear she was speaking from her lived experience. Yet some people on here will still shout racist at her.

You think Badenoch would be sued? By whom? She’s using the death of three little girls to stir up racial hatred for political advantage. I couldn’t despise her more.

Why would she want to that that? She is a second generation immigrant? Maybe she has more insight than we do.

Asvoria · 26/01/2025 11:20

I was born here, but I'm not integrated at all because I'm autistic. I live my life on the margins and have absolutely nothing in common with about 95% of the population, plus I can't even communicate effectively with them. I follow all laws though and don't go around murdering people. My children have similar challenges, but they just have to get on with it too.

People who were born here can't access help for themselves or their children. Why do migrants deserve it more than we do? They get enough as far as I can tell. The country now has to cope with thousands of unknowns entering our communities. Who are these people and what are their backgrounds?

@Asvoria Who are any of us and what are our “backgrounds”? Who deserves or gets “more” than you? Who are the people in your community?

Just stop. What is this and why are you voicing it?

But she is racist. Her opinions are racist. Being one kind of black person doesn't make her accepting of all brown and black people and incapable of racism.

To all appearances, this attack had nothing to do with race or religion. Much as people seemed desperate for him to be Muslim, he isn't. Part of the Prevent failure was that he simply didn't have any particular target or purpose. He was simply obsessed with the idea of killing.

As far as we've heard, the family were well integrated, so her premise in the interview was way out. She's just trying to make political capital out of this tragedy.

I was talking about people who go on to kill after being socially isolated. I gave the example of incels. They are known to be socially isolated individuals. There have been two acts of terrorism by incels as far as I'm aware and people were murdered.

I wasn't talking about a defined ideology, I was talking about social isolation.

From what I know about mass shooters, they tend to be isolated individuals or misfits and are often bullied.

I'm aware that people with personality disorders can be charming but as far as I know, none of the husbands in the Relationship boards have committed mass murder.

We (and certainly our politicians) need to be able to have open, honest conversations about immigration without being called racist.
Other countries seem to manage this.

Workisntworking · 26/01/2025 16:03

SunshinDay · 26/01/2025 11:11

Why don't politicians get proper briefing on this stuff.
The mn threads on this have been incredibly informative.
It was nothing to do with integration and everything to do with his autism and a lack of service that could tackle his issues.
The services where there but each one proved totally ineffective.

Everything to do with his autism?

When people excuse crimes on the basis of autism, they send out the message that autism = murderer, rapist, hacker, thief. That makes it difficult for everyone else with autism.
