...murders.... that the reason these things happen is because people / immigrants are not being helped to integrate in our society and feel alienated. On Laura K show. Dear lord I'm sorry but that's ludicrous ... if I've misunderstood please help me out. Its really angered me !

How confident are you in your belief that he had access to white hate material online?

You’re looking for a fight online. I’ll politely decline.

I think it’s up to each individual what they believe. I think Kemi Badenoch and the BBC would probably be sued if what she said about evidence was untrue about such a serious crime, but it’s up to each person what they believe.

edited to say I think he probably had hate material about lots of people, different groups and religions. The man was looking to harm and kill.

Asking someone how confident they are when they post something they believe is not really looking for a fight, is it?

This was exactly my experience, and I was also bullied by other Asians for it ( Muslim gangs of girls in my case 40 years ago now bullying non Muslim Asian girls to the extent many of us left the school) but in this case there is no evidence that this was the case. He was Christian for a start.

That sounds awful.

Everyone should be able to participate in these discussions without constant scrutiny and criticism, and your digs at me have gone on for two pages.

have a good day.

Kemi Badenoch is utterly irresponsible in stirring up racial hatred with this ‘white genocide’ crap. I’ve seen the source of this claim on Twitter and it’s based on Rudakubana having read academic papers about various massacres/types of cruelty and violence, some of which involved white people harming black people eg during slavery, but he also read about the killing of Tutsis in Rwanda which has nothing to do with white people and about the Holocaust.

Sorry I thought I'd quoted a PP.

BoldRed · 26/01/2025 13:51

You think Badenoch would be sued? By whom? She’s using the death of three little girls to stir up racial hatred for political advantage. I couldn’t despise her more.

Tomatotater · 26/01/2025 13:51

EdithBond · 26/01/2025 13:46

That sounds awful.

It was horrendous but we were 11 year olds, so they were clearly acting out on the prejudices of their parents.

RobinStrike · 26/01/2025 13:55

This article details lots of material he accessed and how he was dealt with by various organisations. It seems clear that Prevent sends out very junior people to 'chat' to threatening individuals, offer some calming advice and pass them on to CAMHS and social services. None of these services have the money or people to deal with violent threats to society. When threats have to be ranked and the lesser threats ignored due to lack of funding, it's inevitable that tragedies will occur. A lot seems to have been made of his ASD diagnosis and the fact it was violence he was obsessed with and notoriety -he rang the NSA to ask if he was known to them-he also had anti Islamic material. He didn't fit Prevent's definition of who they were there for, not driven by ideology or religion.

I have just done a thorough search of all the material in the public domain, and there is not a single reference to AR having "white hate material", just to him having accessed the Al Qaida manual and other materials. There are a lot of references to "hate" and "white" when describing rioters of the period. Not quite the same thing though, are they?

FWIIW "I think Kemi Badenoch and the BBC would probably be sued if what she said about evidence was untrue about such a serious crime" you cannot sue the BBC for something that they didn't say - people say all sorts of things but that doesn't make them or anyone else complicit in what is said. And KB lies about all sorts of things, or, if you prefer, puts her own take on things. Doesn't make them true. And I very much doubt that she is worried about being sued. Doesn't mean she's telling the truth.

Snorlaxo · 26/01/2025 14:08

This case should be shaking up how services are run because there’s obviously more people like him in bedrooms around the country.

I feel for Axel R’s family. The parents clearly tried but if services like the police won’t act on multiple occasions then what were they supposed to do? Are there just too many services that nobody knows who to pass people onto ? Or are they waiting for people like Axel to end up in prison or dead? So many online calls for the family to be deported when I see no sign of them not assimilating to life in the UK.

BoldRed · 26/01/2025 14:09

lol even the Mail implies she’s lying! He did not have ‘white genocide material’ and there’s no evidence of any religious motive. Awful, horrible, dangerous insinuations. She’s an idiot if she thinks that cosying up to racists will help her. They don’t like her for obvious reasons. Rudakubana’s parents and brother are all very well integrated.

Kemi Badenoch on LK
this is what she said today

Not opening a DM link as I have an Ad blocker and they don't like that.

Are you talking about "access to white hate material?"

JessiesJ99 · 26/01/2025 14:11

This is a part of what she was talking about today.

I wasn't sure initially how issues with integration were all that relevant in this case.

But I do agree with what she says about the number of people born here who don't seem to like the UK. You only need to head over to Twitter to see this.

Here’s another autistic teenager up to god knows what in his bedroom but he’s white so I don’t suppose we will here much about ‘lack of integration’ https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c4g74yey13go.amp

So all black people - regardless of where they are born - need to "integrate".

She really isn't the brightest of bunnies is she ?

The "being inculpated in hate" bit is interesting.

Many people are being "inculpated in hate" at the moment. It's the 80th Anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz tomorrow. People are being radicalised, being taught to hate, to see people as other, living in their echo chambers and something causes them to act out their hate.

EasternStandard · 26/01/2025 14:14

SunshinDay · 26/01/2025 11:11

Why don't politicians get proper briefing on this stuff.
The mn threads on this have been incredibly informative.
It was nothing to do with integration and everything to do with his autism and a lack of service that could tackle his issues.
The services where there but each one proved totally ineffective.

Can you say where you've read that it's 'everything to do with his autism'?

SunshinDay · 26/01/2025 14:17

@EasternStandard the autism re integration not the fact he's a second generation migrant.

Personally I don't feel that has much to with what happened at all.

I think if he was isolated it was due to his being autistic and struggling to fit in and being bullied (earlier on)

*I'm specifically talking about kemi use of integration here and not his crimes.

BoldRed · 26/01/2025 14:18

its fucking ironic that Badenoch of all people is talking about people being ‘inculpated’ - I assume she means ‘inculcated’ - in hate. That’s exactly what she’s doing.

Personally I wouldn't invest too much time in her. She won't be around that long.

SunshinDay · 26/01/2025 14:20

@BoldRed so that teen was given 300 hours of community services, placed on a curfew and placed under surveillance for trying to make a gun.. Yet axel had none of that for the knife.
In the bbc I'm sure I read the school said he had a knife on 10 occasion

cakeorwine · 26/01/2025 14:22

What makes pupils in the USA commit mass shootings?

They have easy access to guns - but what factors are there, what's happened to them to make them commit mass shootings?

Are any of the learnings from the USA relevant here?

I was born here. I can trace my family line to Sir William Bowes I who is my direct ancestor; and which makes me a distant relative of King Charles III through his mother.

I don't like the UK. There's lots of things I don't like about the UK and one of those things is how far some people will go to justify racism. Why on earth, though, would I want to head over to something run by a racist, misogynist from South Africa?
