Ugh. I love the feeling. I think I have a bit of prepper in me. I love the actual act of stocking it all up and then looking at it like a caveman who's brought home a leg of mammoth for the family.

Standing in the woods in silence, no car noise, no people, just a bit of quiet time.

This is similar to one of the worst feelings, your child waking up 2 hours before your alarm and not going back to sleep, or letting you go back to sleep 😭

Turning the overhead lights off and putting the fairy lights on.

Feeling virtuous when coming home to a slow cooker stew, and the lovely smell.

Getting on to start a train journey, settling down in booked seats with a train picnic... on an uncrowded train.

Getting home after a day of being miserable outside or a long journey.

See, this is weird to me. Does everyone else gave much better orgasms I wonder? They are nice enough I suppose but in the scheme of satisfying things I much prefer looking at my clean and tidy house/ organised well stocked cupboards/ clean pj’s and bedsheets and best of all curling up with my cat listening to her tiny snores.

When you're at the cinema about to watch a film you've been dying to see. That feeling of settling down and checking out of the real world for a couple of hours.

I'll raise you getting into a freezing cold bed when you are boiling hot.

DH likes the woodburner on, my face is the colour of a tomato and I've just got into an ice cold bed on my own to sleep after a super busy work week. I'm very pleased about this!

(and spare cold pillow on the floor next to me so I can swap pillows in the night when I get too hot in bed!)

Putting your out of office on!

Waking up every day knowing i have no responsibility for anyone other than myself.
Spotless home.
No better feeling than doing what the fuck i want without having to care or compromise.
Total bliss.

Finally being able to "go", when you've been constipated for days!

Driving home from visiting my family... all the unspoken tension and ancient feuds and sly digs fading away, shoulders relaxing... 😁

Being filthy - as in muddy from being outdoors or sandy and salty from day at the beach, and getting into a warm bath to wash it all away, along with shaving legs and pits and bits. Following by drying in a warm, clean house, with a soft warm towel. And getting into brand new pjs, and brand new bed linen.

Bliss.

Even better if its torrential rain outside, you are toasty in bed with a hot choccie and a really good movie on.

A nostalgic one for me and something I was talking about the other day, nothing will ever beat queuing up for the midnight releases of the new Harry Potter books and reading them for the very first time. I wish I could go back and experience that excitement again!
