Have I been scammed?!

Part of me thinks yes but part me of me thinks no because I’ve been to her house.

Sold a nice item via a neighbourhood selling group and as it was heavy and I had a car I offered to drop it to the ladies house. She was very lovely and the house was lovely! But when I asked for payment, she asked for my bank details. I’ve sent them through and she says she’ll transfer…but having looked online it seems this is a common scam?!

But worst case I’ve been to her house and know her address. Or are people genuine and will transfer?

I couldn’t s/s Halifax a few weeks ago but can again now, so they must have scrapped that (stupid) rule!

I sold something today and took it outside (in gated garden) to make it easier for collector, I happened to look outside and they had come into garden and taken item, just saw them as they drove off - thankfully they left the cash but I thought it was really rude to not say anything and just open gate. I won't do that again.

Just to say the was telling the truth about screenshots - my banking app also doesn't let me screenshot anything.

A lot of FB Marketplace sellers prefer to leave items in front garden and ask for money to be posted through door (obviously small amounts of money), maybe your buyers thought you preferred that?

Although your story reminded me of when I was selling a £100 suitcase for FIVE pounds (I just wanted it gone quickly). The buyer came, looked at the suitcase, scrunched his face, and asked: "do you not have it in another colour? *

@DreamW3aver if I was a scammer like she's suggesting then I'd definitely be doing it from an address I wasn't registered as living at.

Go back to her house if you know where she lives Hun,don't feel stupid people do this shit all the time and it's wrong, you was good enough to do what you did it's only fair you get paid,if it's not in your bank she's having ya pants down coz it takes a maximum of 2 hours but mine goes in straight away,just go to her house and have it out with her or tell her you want the item back or you will go back to her house with police simple,then the balls in her court Hun,hope you get it sorted x
