To all the baked potato loving legends out there who followed my original thread, I couldn’t resist sharing what I think is a rather funny update.

So I’ve been away for a work conference today and didn’t check my phone til 2pm. Amanda had called me again! And messaged to say “Jandami can you call me please when you get the chance so I can find out what to ask this magician?”

I assume she means she wants to find out if I’ll pay for a party bag. So I messaged DH (who is fully invested in the drama) laughing about it. I didn’t reply to her as had to go back in the conference (and still haven’t replied only just got home).

Anyway at pick up, DH was standing in the playground waiting for DS and Amanda sidled up to him and said “Excuse me Neil? Is your wife’s phone broken?” (emphasis on the ‘is’ apparently). He just looked at her, said “No” and walked off to wait at the other side of the playground 😂 the best bit is - his name is not Neil!

I can only assume she’s either micro dosing with hallucinogenics or is genuinely mad. Nobody normal behaves this way.

PS jacket potato with pancetta, cheese, soured cream and chives tonight 🤤

As I am ‘new’ (your description) I have no idea what a CF is, though I’m guessing it’s not a compliment. Re: ‘showing up on a whim’ I’m sorry what is the official protocol here? Should I have waited for an invitation and responded to an RSVP? 🤔 My understanding of this forum is …you engage with other mums and discuss life issues (some more crucial than others 😁). Whether on a whim or with the intention of a lifelong commitment…my choice. Incidentally…you have made this amusing/have entertained the troups. Well I reserve the right to do that too! @JandamiHash Air fryer baked spuds were made last night only to discover that the only cheese left in the house by the teenaged locusts was the Truffle Manchego we were keeping for “good”. Some mushrooms sautéed in sherry vinegar and thyme and a bit of that crumbled up with some butter, salt and pepper… OMG!!! 10/10

I’ve heard Russian Blues are potentially hypoallergenic (or at least less likely to produce reactive dander)…and that there’s a cat food on the market that cuts down on the ‘trigger’ in their saliva? I react badly to cats as do my sons (and also you can teach them tricks and walk them on a lead?)…it’s probably wishful thinking (and yes, I do love dogs 🐶 😁). But wish I had the choice of having a cat too

Sadly NotNeil and DD have to carry inhalers such is the intensity of their cat allergies otherwise I’d probably chance getting a kitten and sticking the pair of them on antihistamines

How does the going out at night part of catting work? We were thinking of getting one but I'm worried that the cat bigger boys at the farm next door might kick it's ass. Do cats have to go out or can I train it to come for walks with the dogs?

I've always not liked cats but my husband loves them and it would be nice to give him a cute little kitten in a box for his birthday. Apart from that lovely idea I haven't thought the actual having a cat thing through much.

Yes we use this it's Purina Live Clear. Some breeds and some cats produce more of the protein and others less. You can go to a rescue and potentially foster a cat to see if it triggers
