Being woken up at 5 am when not going to work

I'm very confused right now and wondering if I actually am being unreasonable. My Partner wakes up at 3 am for work (usually 2 alarms later ) goes downstairs then comes back up at 5am to get dressed and go in doing so walks into the bedroom bangs on the light and proceeds to have a conversation with me. This morning I suggested that there was an argument that he could have put the lamp on rather than the main light to which his reply was there is an argument that you could get up and use the day.
When I stated I was off work and on holiday he tore into me telling me I was entitled and ungrateful.
Am I ? I had simply planned to get up at 7 and start the day.

If you got this far. Thank you 🙏🏻

I’m an early riser and 5am is not reasonable to me either unless I choose to wake up at that time!

I once lived in a houseshare with incredibly inconsiderate housemates, one of them had a boyfriend who would stay overnight most weekdays and leave our house to go shower and get ready for work at his house round the corner at around 5am.

My room was downstairs near the front door. So guess who would hear the front door slam and woke up at 5am every day instead of 7am which is when my alarm went off 😵‍💫

I wish I’d said something at the time but I was a bit less confrontational back then plus I was looking for a new place and did indeed escape after 4 months. The constant sleep deprivation did actually contribute to a short bout of chronic fatigue so I never tolerated that again. And I’d certainly not tolerate it from my partner or inflict it on him . We don’t live together but when I stay at his if I’m ever up super early I quietly leave the bedroom and head to the living room to read or watch tv at a low volume.

I’m envious of people who can get back to sleep if they’re woken up. Once I wake up I usually can’t get back to sleep unless it’s maybe like 2 or 3am - but if it’s 4 or 5am onwards my body will think that’s my sleep finished and i will be awake yet tired for most of the day.

Some idiot rang my bell a few Sundays ago at 6am. Maybe a drunk neighbour and I’d been to bed at 2am that night so after 4 hours sleep I was up for the rest of the day after that and felt like a zombie the whole day.

I usually don’t really do naps either so I can’t catch up the sleep as easily as some can.
