Bullseye coming back has made me think this .

These are the programs I’d like to see shown again:

Winner Takes All
Generation Game
Punchlines
Krypton Factor
Crackerjack
Ever Decreasing Circles
Terry and June
A Fine Romance
There’s No Place Like Home
3-2-1

I apologise - some programmes above are ‘ones for the teenagers’

I think a regeneration of the generation game could definitely work!

Also blockbusters, that was brilliant

AlecTrevelyan006 · 11/12/2024 15:53

Do you mean repeated, or remade?

Repeated I suppose !!

But even better - would like to go back to 1981 and start again from there ! 🙌

Who watches TV anymore?

Me!

Beeinalily · 11/12/2024 15:57

I've been rewatching Upstairs Downstairs, and it's superb. Add it to your list, OP!

FuckItItsFine · 11/12/2024 15:57

Used to love Call My Bluff! It was a bit twee but it had a certain charm and cosiness that I loved.

MrsSethGecko · 11/12/2024 15:58

Oh Upstairs Downstairs is great.

Are you defining ‘tv’ very narrowly as traditional channels watched in a linear fashion? Because I reckon most people watch some sort of moving images on a screen. I call all that ‘tv’ as long as it’s not cinema.
But millions watch it in your narrowly defined way too.

XWKD · 11/12/2024 16:00

Kojak.

MumOfOneAllAlone · 11/12/2024 16:01

I watched an American TV show called 'Providence' on itv when I was a kid. It reminds me of the summer, as I'd watch it during the holidays. Can't find it anywhere.

Also, the good wife on a decent UK streaming service!

MrsSethGecko · 11/12/2024 16:02

@XWKD Kojak! Love it. Big crush on him as well.

Jumell · 11/12/2024 16:05

When they brought gladiators back, I did think the generation game would be a good one to bring back to life.

User14March · 11/12/2024 16:09

I’d love to see a remake of ‘Just Good Friends’. Vince & Pen. Fab. How could play them?

LookItsMeAgain · 11/12/2024 16:12

They've been showing old episodes of "Call My Bluff" on BBC4 recently and I forgot how simple, yet entertaining, a programme it was.

I'd love to see a modern day version of it!

Just had a look on YouTube and quite few eps up on there!

I wish it would be brought back! They could get Victoria Coren Mitchell on it to follow in her dad’s footsteps.

Tony Robinson's "Maid Marian and her Merry Men".

And "Trap Door"

And yes, I watch telly.

Edited

Oh god, just realised I don't know anything of what's currently in the charts but I still know ALL the words to Maid Marian.

And I still watch telly.
Never mind old I think I'm antiquated 🥴

I think they've tried TGG a few times but never managed to make it work. Some things were just of their time I guess.

A Fine Romance is currently being shown on one of the Freeview channels.

Cattery · 11/12/2024 16:22

Reruns yes. I don’t think you could remake a lot of the old favourites because time has changed everything.
